I don’t hate Florida as much as most of you. I think Tkachuk/Bennett/Marchand will be hilarious.

There seems to be some serious concern how much Marchand will play. The condition for the 1st rounder is Marchand has to play 40 percent of the games in the 1st two rounds.

Just my opinion, but I think this signals Marchy signing back with us, because I don't think the Bruins trade him to a division rival otherwise.

Wet dream scenario: Round 1, game 7, 2025 playoffs........

panthers regroup after a delayed penalty called in their zone, as Bobrovsky skates off the ice Marchand retrieves the puck and goes full Andrew Ference while simultaneously putting it into his own net. He then pulls off the panthers sweater to reveal a B's one underneath........but instead of Marchand the nameplate just reads 'LOL'.

It’ll be fun to watch Marchand make a run with the Panthers. I think he comes back this summer. Although I would’ve preferred a better return.

Carlo was made for Toronto, soft and find himself in the fetal position come playoffs
never thought i would say this but im rooting for Panthers this year. i want Brad to get that Cup. As for Carlo, i’ve been wanting hin gone for the past 3 years. Soft player traded to soft wilted leafs. good riddance

Just got back from work & saw all the moves.

I'll miss Marchy obviously, one of the best Bruins of all time but I'll also miss Carlo & Coyle despite the heat they took. They were both monsters on that 2019 Cup run & in another timeline they are fan favourite folk heroes. Best of luck & let the retool commence.

I’d rather see Coyle win one for all the unnecessary crap he took here.

Marchy has his cup.

Seeing Coyle play well as they win a cup would be fun.

Listening to Sweeney it seems to me Marchand might have been able to pick who he wanted to go to. That coupled with his injury, im not as upset about the return as I first was.

Even staring at a legit chance for a cup….Imagine if Sweeney gave up big assets for an injured, 37 year old, pending UFA?

He’d be crucified.

Zito says 50% so that's a bit of a mix up sometime

Nvm that was probably in relation to retention
No one knows, but I think you're right.

Clear answer is this: Marchand's market was limited due to injury and likely where he wanted to go. The former matters in terms of chemistry: what if Marchand only can play starting April 10th? I think Florida was less worried given the chemistry with Bennett we saw in the Four Nations

So if he plays one game and they get swept in 4, it’s a first rounder…

There are conflicting reports.

I am 100% certain (watched it 3x) that Sweeney said 25% of playoff games.

But I’ve also read that they need to win two rounds with him playing 25%.

I also saw someone else say they just need to make it to the 2nd round with him playing 25%.
