I think it's a better asset being a 2028 first than if it was next years.

Can use it this or next offseason as a piece for a player and if Florida shows any signs of decline it could be worth more.

People are overlooking the fact that he is giving Marchand a chance to win another Cup(which he has earned), which won't be happening here for the remainder of his playing years.
And he could turn around and come back in FA.
All these moves had to happen.

It’s funny how different people react to things.

We had a few students saying after school and I was getting ready to head out. One of them is a Bruins fan and I went over and told him about the trades and he looked like he was about to cry.

I remember those days.

Part of me is sad that I’ll never be able to see sports through the lens of a child again.

Marchy was the prototyical Bruin. Kid gave it all for this team. Just wont be the same with out him. Thought Sweeny would have squeezed more out of Florida. Not that fond of Sweeny as a GM. Personally I think the Bruins wanted to get something out of Marchy before he got any older. Doubt Marchy is ever back in a Bruin jersey.

Laugh now, Leafs fans but keep in mind; you might not lose to us in round 1, but you CAN still lose to Brad Marchand in round 1.
