The trade that killed me was my all time fav Joe Juneau for some fat bald dude when I was 8/9 years old. It’s funny on how different people react to things.
We had a few students saying after school and I was getting ready to head out. One of them is a Bruins fan and I went over and told him about the trades and he looked like he was about to cry.
I remember those days.
Part of me is sad that I’ll never be able to see sports through the lens of a child again.
People are overlooking the fact that he is giving Marchand a chance to win another Cup(which he has earned), which won't be happening here for the remainder of his playing years.
And he could turn around and come back in FA.
All these moves had to happen.
37YO, Injured, NTC with short list of acceptable teams, UFA after the playoffs. They did well getting what the did.
If Marchand is Thornton and Carlo is Boynton now we just need a Swaycroft trade.I love Brad and it sucks he is gone, but bigger than that, it sure looks like there was a leadership/culture cleanout here.
If he doesn't like Florida, I'm sure he would like playing with MacKinnonDale Arnold said he doubts Marchand ever plays for Bruins again if I heard correctly but he likely is guessing same as we are.
Yes. He is taking the low routeOh man, In hate this. Marchand should've been a Bruin until the end of his career. Aww man, not happy at all.
I just don’t understand the hatred toward Sweeney trading Marchand. He gave him the courtesy of dictating where he wants to go. Marchand was injured and unlikely to return before playoffs. Bruins weren’t making the playoffs so essentially Marchand was done for the season.
Now Marchand has a chance to get healthy and play on a legit contender. I hope Florida wins the cup this season. I’m glad the Bruins have moved on and are looking toward the future.
He’s an injured 37 YO pending UFA who picked his destination, no doy Walman did better he’s a youngish good defenseman with another year leftSan Jose got more for Walman than we did for Marchand. Walman, who Detroit paid a 2nd rounder just to get rid of less than a year ago.
Not mad they traded him to a contender. But the return is not even remotely worth it to me. That’s what I’m mad about. Like I said, other trades today I can get behind, but this one i hate
I hated that deal, Iafrate was a good player, but when the B's got him, he was often injured. Juneau was a speedy forward they should have kept. The trade that killed me was my all time fav Joe Juneau for some fat bald dude when I was 8/9 years old.
Now I'm a fat bald alcoholic the trade doesn't seem as bad but still. Rosie and Joe Juneau will always be my favs.
He was in that teammu sellane 1.5 PPG as a rookie or something club.I hated that deal, Iafrate was a good player, but when the B's got him, he was often injured. Juneau was a speedy forward they should have kept.
I still think he will end his career as a Bruin. I expect him to be resigned in the off season . I think Marchand and the Bruins have already talked about this being a possibility . Today we deal with now . This give Marchand another chance at a cup and the Bruins another assetOh man, I hate this. Marchand should've been a Bruin until the end of his career. Aww man, not happy at all.
