I posted this on the main Trade board but wanted to repeat it here for all of my Bruins brothers and sisters:

Bobby Orr finished his career on the Blackhawks. I know all the shenanigans behind it and how it should have never happened but let me repeat Bobby Orr finished his career on the Blackhawks. Orr didn't finish with the B's, Bourque didn't, other world class hockey players didn't. I love what Brad brought to the B's for all of these years but there is nothing sacred in professional sports, it's a business. Good luck to him.

Thinking about the chances of Marchand coming back.

If the term from the Bruins isn't there now, then it's not going to be there if he comes back this summer. Right? Is he suddenly going to be okay with a year to year thing like Bergeron?

So maybe he really is done with the Bruins for good?

I guess we'll find out in a few months.

But if he does come back, is he the captain again?

So many questions lol

Maybe winning a second cup changes his perspective.

I don’t know anything about his family situation, but it really seems like a lot of guys stay here after their careers are over.

If his kids are school aged, I’d guess they aren’t moving the whole family to Florida this late in the year.

If I’m right, maybe he and his wife decide they don’t want to uproot the family for his last 2-3 years and they take a deal in July that they wouldn’t today.

I've seen the return for Marchand listed as a '27 1st OR a '28 1st. Anyone know what the conditions or deciding factor is with regard to whether it's '27 or '28?

Just simmed my season in NHL 25
Couldnt dump Marchand at TDL
To Re-sign a 37 year old Marchand wants 13.5M a year 116 point season but both Marchands are crazy for wanting big money at their ages.

San Jose got more for Walman than we did for Marchand. Walman, who Detroit paid a 2nd rounder just to get rid of less than a year ago.

Not mad they traded him to a contender. But the return is not even remotely worth it to me. That’s what I’m mad about. Like I said, other trades today I can get behind, but this one i hate
Remind you of the Buffalo hate when they had no choice in trading us Hall. Now you know how it feels. They hooked up Marchand.

I still think he will end his career as a Bruin. I expect him to be resigned in the off season . I think Marchand and the Bruins have already talked about this being a possibility . Today we deal with now . This give Marchand another chance at a cup and the Bruins another asset
I am hoping you are right.
