We were clearly miles apart on an extension. Unless he plays awful and tanks his value we will not be highest bidder 7/1. He doesn't get traded if he takes a reasonable deal.

Nothing to cry over he was the biggest bargain in the league last 6 years.

I don't see him resigning there either. I think he goes to Colorado or Pitt to play with McKinnon or Sid.

Trading Brandon Carlo to the Toronto Maple Leafs, the least clutch playoff team of this generation, is the funniest f***ing thing Sweeney has ever done (good category). He's going to invent a new kind of turnover to lose the Leafs a game 7.




For the record trading a third for Zac Rinaldo is the funniest thing he's ever done (bad category).

Yeah I think that's right. The Bruins were not in a strong position with Marchand and the alternative might well have been simply letting him walk at season's end for free. So if the return is indeed less than ideal I think we have to cop that on the chin and realize it as one of those situations where something is better than nothing.

Sorry if this should be done via PM but can you unlock Brads thread so we can wish him well or is this a designated cool off period?

Dudes a legend and some impressive career Bruins stats 4th all time goals 6th assists.

Good for him too. Chase a Cup this year. Get a bigger payday or glue himself to McKinnin or McDavid next. No reason to be sad.

Tuesdays prices vs Florida spiked quickly I just realized I had to go to pay him farewell it was a must attend game. Those were almost half price earlier in the day.

Underwhelming return for Brad Marchand​

The trade between the Bruins and Panthers is not yet official, but ESPN's John Buccigross is reporting the B's are getting a conditional second-round pick in exchange for captain Brad Marchand.
