What conditions I wonder ,wouldn’t think it would be on him resigning
I’m thinking more about % of playoff games played.

This is what I believe. The return isn't much but it isn't a prime Marchy they are getting. Emotions are high, I get it.Marchand prob out to close to playoffs and Sweeney did him a solid dealing him wherever he wanted
No. It's a good day. The reality that he realized is this team is done. This era is over. Tearing it down now in full like he just did will shorten the rebuild time (unless they completely blow drafting). Staying with all these guys would have just led to a slow painful decline that would last for years.Sad day
Everything is relative. Considering their D, he is good.OK the best thing about this season just became watching Leaf fans realize how terrible Carlo is. I don't know what world they're living in but they all think he's good![]()
Nick Foligno, Paul Gaustad. These types have received 1sts in the same year draft in recent years!Gotta be honest, the name is clouding some judgement on the Marchand trade.
He's an injured 36 year old rental with a NTC. A conditional 1st is a good return

My complete guess is the condition is he plays in 50% or more of their playoff games, maybe also at least getting to the 2nd round. Injury hurt his return for sure.Guess it is all about what the conditions are.
I feel the same way, he’s an ultra competitive guy, probably wanted one last guaranteed playoff run on a team that could go far. That Marchand return makes me think he asked to go there and they did it as a favour.
Charles Robert Coyle is a professional ice hockey centre for the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League, according to Wikipedia.....Did Coyle get traded???
Dale Arnold said he doubts Marchand ever plays for Bruins again if I heard correctly but he likely is guessing same as we are.My complete guess is the condition is he plays in 50% or more of their playoff games, maybe also at least getting to the 2nd round. Injury hurt his return for sure.
A big part of me believes he'll be back July 1. If we extended him, I really doubt we'd rush him back before the end of the season with the white flag already being waved. This at least gives him a shot this year and gets some assets, from a division rival as well. But we'll see - sometimes the grass (and money) is greener. I'm sure he'll end his career as a Bruin one way or another.

A 3 years away conditional 1st is not much value.
Luke Schenn received an earlier 2nd and a 4th.
The injury piece and what Marchand does in the summer will dictate if this is a reasonable trade or not. If he signs a 3 year 3 million extension tomorrow... not good.
More likely than not that Dale's right. Doesn't happen often.Dale Arnold said he doubts Marchand ever plays for Bruins again if I heard correctly but he likely is guessing same as we are.
