Post-Game Talk: BOS @ NYR | Still Alive

Newbury is better than Richards? holy crap Richards is terribad right now but Newbury is a bum................Hopefully Powe can play C next game. atleast Powe can PK and not take stupid penalties. Newbury tries to goon it up to much in the NHL. no idea why he is so good in the AHL[/QUOTE]

Vitto, you misread me.
I don't want Richards, and I prefer better options to Newbury.
If Miller is not available, as I am now told, who's next, with Powe out. Haley?

Also...

Derek Stepan?

More like Derek Stepan on this goal.

So i said for everyone to remember that i said we would win 4 straight. Well 1 down 3 to go. And the biggest game of the series is the next game even bigger than a game 7 in this series. Because if we can win in Boston than the Bruins are gonna be ******** their pants coming back to NY for game 6. Rangers on their way. Big win tonight. Sparked something in the Rangers. Look Out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....LGR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It may have sparked something, but really not that much changed. It was just as weak as we've been playing, and we were lucky to scrape by in this one.

I'm not that confident...It really didn't spark anything. It was just as bad and weak as we've been playing, and we were lucky to scrape by in this one.

Non-sense. I am the Prophet and have spoken. Off with your head!!!!....:yo:

Despite how bad and weak we were (which I agree with), 2 of the 3 losses were 1 goal affairs, even with Lundqvist allowing a softy in game 1. It wasn't like Boston was blowing us out every game.

Game 1 - Goal 1: Rolling puck, fluke. Goal 3: Unforced turnover, gift.
Game 2 - Goal 2: Awkward, unnecessary block to Bruin, gift.
Game 3 - Goal 2: Just about the strangest bounce anyone has ever seen, fluke.
Game 4 - Goal 1: DZ poke check right back to Horton, basically a give-and-go, gift.

I'm just saying that the Bruins have had their share of gifts and fluky goals. Nothing wrong with them, but when they go the Rangers way, we shouldn't count them as anything less.

Really? That's pathetic.

They've outplayed us... Top to bottom. We are lucky to be down 3-1. I would have rather had that luck in a stranley cup run than this lame-ness

I really disagree with that. I don't think the Rangers have looked particularly great, but the Bruins have outplayed us for 4 periods in 4 games. The third in game 2. The 2nd and 3rd in game 3, and the 1st in game 4. Game 1 was even throughout. The first period in game 2 was even. We outplayed them in the 2nd. The first in game 3 was even. The 2nd and 3rd in game 4 were even.

I just don't feel like the Bruins have outplayed us by much in this series.

lol...they have out played us...But we got destiny on our side so all else is a moot point. LGR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, that deflection by Nash-Kreider was gorgeous. Reminiscent of Alfie goal at end of Game 3. Nice to see Kreider utilizing his talent. Nothing complicated, use your speed, get to the net first, stick on the ice.

They have outplayed us. Only reason we didnt lose by more in those games was because of Lundy. When he had an off nite, we lost 5-2. But have no fear the series is just getting started...LGR!!!!!!!!!

Brassard had some just unbelievable moments out there.

Fingers really crossed he can keep it up. Would be huge for the franchise.

McD is also showing some flashes of being "a real true actual #1 dman" or whatever the HF definition is nowadays.

Thankful that we all got one more good night out of the deal.

Or had the team scored on the late PP, or the offense scored in the OT.
You want to mindlessly blame Hank, go right ahead. But you are off your rocker.

Jonathan is right both of the goals in that game were bad. he makes one of those and he doesn't have to make 15 godlike saves in OT. The best have to make 1 of those two saves in that game. The OT performance by the forwards was so atrocious that it takes the focus away from it. But two unscreened point shots beat him. one he kicks in himself. He had a poor game in that game which forced us into OT and cost us a win.

Hagelin Stepan. Callahan
Clowe Brassard Nash
Kreider Boyle Zuccarello
Asham Newbury Dorsett

Sit Pyatt, Beaver, Powe (injured)

Or

Hagelin Stepan. Callahan
Kreider Brassard Nash
Clowe Beaver Zuccarello
Asham Boyle Dorsett

I think I want to see Nash with Stepan moving forward. I was so in the zone watching the game, that I really didn't pay attention to who was playing well with whom...so I may be completely off base here, but I thought everyone played a bit better when Hagelin-Step-Cally got broken up.
