I disagree. The fourth line tonight was useful. With Richards on it, it's just whoever is left out of the top three lines.
Which likely hasn't played well with Tortorella. He doesn't have the cocksure attitude of JT Miller, or the poise of Stepan, or even the arrogance of Dubinsky when he was at his best.
Briere was on the TSN panel tonight talking about coming back from 0-3 down. Game five will be the toughest to get.
Newbury is better than Richards? holy crap Richards is terribad right now but Newbury is a bum................Hopefully Powe can play C next game. atleast Powe can PK and not take stupid penalties. Newbury tries to goon it up to much in the NHL. no idea why he is so good in the AHL
I do, but you have to take that chance if your truly gonna have a shot to comeback in this, imo. Its a risky move but one I would make. I know others will say no way and thats fine.
Haley, yes, Newbury not so much.
The thing which hurts the most is we'd be up 3-1 if Hank had two even average games the first two games
I really hope the boys can pull this off. It'd be one for the ages.
Pure gold:
Dolan celebrating after Kreider's goal

What exactly have the Bruins been scoring in this series??
Still, it was three guys who played the right game for that line. Newbury took a dumb penalty but he also threw some hits and played tough, and, unlike Richards, he didn't try to be Crosby and end up giving the puck away every other second.
Game one, where he made 45 saves, was below average?

The best team in the NHL this season is about to be in the same situation the Rangers are down 3-1 in the second round. That proves that it's about who gets hot at the right time and who gets some bounces along the way. The bruins were all but golfing 10 minutes left in the third in game 7 of the first round. It's all about momentum
I believe he was also the first Ranger to actually hit Krug.
Kreider played very well all game. he was on teh puck a lot and was battling. In the 3rd period he unleashed his speed and had boston on their heels. Before the ot goal he has 2 other very close scoring chancesHe played ok nothing more. I do think he will be better if they use his speed more. Im not sure he should be playing with Nash. He should be getting the scoring chances Nash does but on another line. Either bring Richards back in and play him with Kreider and Zuccarello. or put Kreider with Boyle and Zuccarello, then he can use his speed and shot better than being the second passing option on a Nash line. But thats just my opinion.
Just glad they got the win, but they still need 3 more, and that wont happen with the line combos they used today.
