Post-Game Talk: BOS @ NYR | Still Alive

If Kreider had Hagelin or Callahan's motor he would be a beast. The guy doesn't unleash the speed enough. He seemed like he was finally starting to do it in the 3rd/OT tonight.

Even with speed he has been playing with crap linemates most of the year. the past 2 games Torts finally paired him with brassard and nash which i ahve been screaming to happen for weeks and he looks like a completely different player

Derek Stepan?

If McIlrath was playing, he might just get Krug thinking about self-preservation.
I cannot wait for that kind of player, the kind that the Rangers are so sorely, glaringly missing.

Why does everyone bring this up? He only made 45 saves because it went to OT. It went to OT because of his mediocre play. He would have only had to make around 30 saves if he had not allowed it to go to OT.

Well, mediocre=average. But the lack of any energy in OT sealed that game's fate. Game 2 was a cluster**** all around, though. Lundqvist was below average and so was most of the team. I just want to forget that game now.

Or had the team scored on the late PP, or the offense scored in the OT.
You want to mindlessly blame Hank, go right ahead. But you are off your rocker.

They bring it up because your point makes no sense.

Kreider played very well all game. he was on teh puck a lot and was battling. In the 3rd period he unleashed his speed and had boston on their heels. Before the ot goal he has 2 other very close scoring chances[/QUOTE

3 OT Goals and a bright future ahead

You know there were some B fans with Game 5 tix secretly wishing for the series to come back to Boston in hopes they would polish off the Rangers in 5. I hope the Rangers make them feel really bad about wishing that come Sunday morning.

Eh, Defensemen don't really lay into other defensemen all that often. Krug has been doing a lot of damage from the point. The Rangers forwards need to stop giving him room back there. They did the same thing against Green in the last series and the same result, lots of goals from the point.

In the offensive zone, they need to lay the body on him a lot. The Bruins have a lot of young defensemen, the Rangers absolutely need to be physical against them.

Really? The goals the bruins have scored are flukes?

Stay asleep man... Ur dreams are enough to live a happy life.

Game 1 - Goal 1: Rolling puck, fluke. Goal 3: Unforced turnover, gift.
Game 2 - Goal 2: Awkward, unnecessary block to Bruin, gift.
Game 3 - Goal 2: Just about the strangest bounce anyone has ever seen, fluke.
Game 4 - Goal 1: DZ poke check right back to Horton, basically a give-and-go, gift.

I'm just saying that the Bruins have had their share of gifts and fluky goals. Nothing wrong with them, but when they go the Rangers way, we shouldn't count them as anything less.

Because it's a fact and facts are stubborn things, they keep popping up.
You make it sound like it's the B's against Hank, where is the offense in your alternate reality?

Hagelin Stepan. Callahan
Clowe Brassard Nash
Kreider Boyle Zuccarello
Asham Newbury Dorsett

Sit Pyatt, Beaver, Powe (injured)

Or

Hagelin Stepan. Callahan
Kreider Brassard Nash
Clowe Beaver Zuccarello
Asham Boyle Dorsett

You're right about his motor, runs cold often, floats too much. This is why Miller had such a long leash with Torts, he never stopped playing and took the body.

I'm talking about an old school, special visit...

Edit: I do agree with what you say. I'm getting tired of hearing myself say exactly that about the backing off the point men. They are not as physical as last year, but please do not turn this statement into me wanting Dubi or Prust back, I really really don't :)
