The team finally showed a pulse after that gift from Rask on the first goal. Now they need to do it on their own to win in Boston on Saturday.

I might get flamed hard, but Id bring Richards back in for Game 5. We will go nowhere unless he is able to step up. Im not holding my breath for it to happen, but after sitting him a game, give him a chance to come back in and prove himself. You cant deny he has tons of talent. If this scratch lights a fire in his ass and he comes out flying in Game 5, we would have a chance to come back in this series.

Also what I wouldnt give to have Staal back in for Saturday. Talk about a huge boost to the team.

love how the Boston board is crazy cocky. Would be crazy but hilarious if they blew ANOTHER 3-0 series lead

washington board was the same way. i was reading it after game 3 and all i read was "we're so much better, we'll still win in 5"

Sadly, no.

If the wrist is properly if not fully healed, then JT Miller should be the one.
He'd give good energy, speed + decent shot.

If not available, still have better options.

Newbury is better than Richards? holy crap Richards is terribad right now but Newbury is a bum................Hopefully Powe can play C next game. atleast Powe can PK and not take stupid penalties. Newbury tries to goon it up to much in the NHL. no idea why he is so good in the AHL

You know, everyone is calling that Hagelin goal a gift, but I don't really feel that way. That was one of the strangest deflections I've ever seen. It changed SO much speed and direction. Very hard to adjust to.

had to make this.

i agree, i hope he plays.

Kreider played well. Wish I had seen more of him over the last bunch of games.

He played ok nothing more. I do think he will be better if they use his speed more. Im not sure he should be playing with Nash. He should be getting the scoring chances Nash does but on another line. Either bring Richards back in and play him with Kreider and Zuccarello. or put Kreider with Boyle and Zuccarello, then he can use his speed and shot better than being the second passing option on a Nash line. But thats just my opinion.

Just glad they got the win, but they still need 3 more, and that wont happen with the line combos they used today.

What a gamble it would be playing Richards next game.
You do realize that if he is in the lineup, that he will be on the powerplay, right?

I disagree. The fourth line tonight was useful. With Richards on it, it's just whoever is left out of the top three lines.

I do, but you have to take that chance if your truly gonna have a shot to comeback in this, imo. Its a risky move but one I would make. I know others will say no way and thats fine.

Briere was on the TSN panel tonight talking about coming back from 0-3 down. Game five will be the toughest to get.

i agree with that, boston is still in complete control and feeling no pressure. but if they lose game 5 then the pressure shifts to them, it starts to get in their heads, theyll know game 6 is a must win to avoid a game 7. if we win game 5 this is going 7

I have not agreed with the way Kreider has been brought along. He is not going to be a prototypical grinder. Screw that. I've been waiting for the transition from full grind. I guess the real point is that the Rangers are in transition from that, so I can be patient, but I will not be overly patient.
