Post-Game Talk: BOS @ NYR | Still Alive

Yeah, because there was any possible way for me to know that. :sarcasm:

Besides, you know there are plenty of jackasses on this board who think that way. Which is what makes it a good joke, I guess. :)

I'm not yelling at you or anything. How could you know afterwards I was just joking if I don't say it was a joke?

Also if you read the two conflicting statements I quoted you might get at least a hint that there was some humor in there. maybe you should assume people are joking instead of dumb. Glass half full!

My point: If he makes those saves we have the lead. Since he should have made those saves he gets blame.

Your point: He made great saves to keep it tied.

These are utterly independent points that do NOT conflict with one another. You can criticize him for his mistakes (which came first and cost us a win in regulation) while also recognizing that after he cost us a win in regulation he held the team in it and gave the team a chance to win it OT

Nope, that's not how it works, you can't blame a goal scored after the 3rd minute in the 3period for "costing us the game in regulation". however, have they scored on the late PP would have definitely won the game. That's where the blame for "costing us the game in regulation" should be.

I've been here for 9 years. Experience has taught me to assume that people are dumb, especially when it comes to our coaches, whether it be Tortorella or Renney. :p:

To think that this essentially saved our season. Wow.

You can't twist facts.

Fact he let in 2 goals. Fact: he was in prime position to make those saves. Fact: he let those goals in. Fact: those two goals tied the game. Fact: if he saves one of those the game doesn't go to OT and we win in regulation. These are ALL important facts and yet you ignore them and then say I'm twisting facts?

I on the other hand said Fact: He made great saves in OT and the 3rd to keep us in it.
Opinion the offense utterly no showed and embarrassed themselves but they should have never had to play in OT if it wasn't for Hank giving up two bad goals.

See what I did there. Facts vs opinions.

So you can't ever blame a goalie by this logic and can only blame the offense? Stop it you're embarrassing yourself.

Your opinion: The offense gets seemingly all of the blame giving Lundqvist no room for error.

Mine: He's the best goalie on earth and has to make 1 of those saves. Also the offense is horrific and deserves blame as well.

One big fact you missed
Fact PP blows and costs us the game in regulation.

It is truly a glorius morning (4 AM in Sweden) when you scribble a post about Hank and its not a bash post :handclap:

We seriously need to get some sleep now, dude. This was another memorable night... I am happy with the 5:30 PM start on Saturday. It means I can watch my rugby (7 pm till 9 pm), Champions' League final (9 pm till 11 pm) and the Rangers (11:30 pm till somewhere past midnight)

Anything can happen.

Don't get me wrong, they worked hard to outscore the Bruins 3-1 from that point and deserved it but that goal.....

They were ****ing dead in the water and were getting killed when that happened. Talk about turnaround.

Seriously?

the offense utterly no showed and embarrassed themselves .

Dude READ. No excuse for you not understanding me there. This is embarrassing

Also half of what you wrote there is opinion and not fact. The PP failed. Fact. The PP cost us the game. Opinion. There are levels of blame to assign but to ignore the majority of the game which is played 5 on 5 and to ignore the goals which could have been saved and normally are saved by the best goalie on earth is just poor analysis

I've never seen a goalie derp it up like that. Really hope there's a crack in his confidence.

Henrik Lundqvist was brilliant..I can't believe anyone thinks otherwise. This game was over and he kept us in it.

If you are referring to all the posts above yours, they are talking about game 1. Haven't read anyone getting on Hank for today

McDonagh was our best player tonight along with Lundqvist.

That was the most dynamic I've seen McDonagh play in all 3 zones since last years playoffs. Not quite sure why he doesn't turn it up like that more often.

I still don't think that the Hagelin goal is as big of a gaffe on Rask's part as people make it out to be.

Can you name bigger gaffes? Just wondering. I'm including the context of the moment also. Not just the physical act of the derp, but the ensuing momentum swing, too.
