I don't know why anyone ever thought the players wouldn't be trying.

I have never seen players not go all out when playing in an International tournament. Whether it's the NHL, IIHF or the IOC... it doesn't matter who's organizing the games.

Very fitting that it happened to a Vegas player. They’ll put him on LTIR, use his salary to add at the TDL, then he’ll be magically cleared the week before game one of the playoffs.

I’ve also said the greatest part, for me, of the Cup win in 2018 was losing the animosity I had towards a lot of teams and players. Ever since we won I’ve been able to appreciate since I have less of an attachment to the conclusion.

Ovi’s going to break 99’s record and we got to watch him hoist a Cup in DC, plus the team has successfully retooled and is well positioned both now and for the future. I just don’t really give a shit about other teams and their success or failure at the moment.

Yep. The joy of sports is just as much if not more about hating others as seeing your team succeed. Screw the Pens, Crosby, and Canada always and forever. It brings me extreme joy that they stink so much this year.

Faber and Hanifin both look out of their depth. JT Miller seems pretty cooked as well. This team has enough talent at other spots to make it not matter but still some sub-optimal roster decisions IMO

I’m with you….it was like a great emotional purge for me. I no longer get as upset at playoff losses.

I’m not rooting for any old Patrick division foes though that’s for sure.
