He is performing well below expectations and knows it. His skating legs are there, but he show very little creativity and worse lots of inconsistency. I think he may bounce back, if the Bruins can find him a good winger. But, with the Bruins in a severe decline and presently managed by two absolute incompetents, that is extremely unlikely.

That was one thing I noticed with the Canucks that isn’t as obvious when you aren’t watching a player regularly. He wasn’t nearly as good defensively as his reputation. So if he’s not scoring a decent amount, he’s not really a top 6 centre.

Just watching him out there, it seems like his confidence is totally shot.

Sometimes guys bounce back the next year. Clean slate and all that. Think that might be the high point on the hope this works out scale now.

I don't see how any team is going to take a 30 year-old with 6 years left on a contract with such negative overall value. Unless the B's advertised him with Pastrnak stapled to his butt, no one would give acquiring him any thought whatsoever.

And yet Flames management threw an even bigger contract at him. It's wild that this contract was Lindolhm fumbling the bag a bit. Definitely a bullet dodged for Flames management.

His years with Gaudreau and Monahan/Tkachuk over-inflated his value to a shocking degree. Both years he reached close to ppg, he was the lowest scoring player on his line. Dude was always complimentary player in the offensive end.

Im just suprised he hasn't had better chemistry with Pasternak.

I watched most of Van last PO games and Lindholm and Zadorov were probably Van 2 bests players and i was telling my self that i want them in Bs team...Elias not showing a lot he looks lost and no skill and after 47 games, woooouffff this contract is....woooouuuufffff!
