Sounds like a terrible idea to go to the Saints
That team is going nowhere witht their cap situation
We’ve seen other “hot” assistants end up on the firing line the next season, like Bobby Slowik. This may be his one and only chance to get a HC gig.
Plus with the substantial raise in money. He can’t turn this down.
None of us would.
Shane Steichen didn’t show up unpreparedLast time the Eagles had a coordinator more focused on their future head coaching gig, our defense showed up entirely unprepared
Not to mention this already happened to him. His stock kept falling after around halfway through 2021 when the league caught onto his route concepts which led to his eventual dismissal from Dallas. Moore is the definition of the middle tier of a playcaller. Doesn't elevate his roster and isn't with the Press Taylors and Shane Waldrons of the world. The Eagles are known for being ruthless with underachievement. New Orleans was his only interview besides Dallas and New Orleans itself isn't very desired, so the misfits work with each other until Loomis is done and/or the Saints are finally doing the full house clean and not the gradual pull back to not worsen their cap situation. We’ve seen other “hot” assistants end up on the firing line the next season, like Bobby Slowik. New Orleans is like 80 mil over the cap every yearSounds like a terrible idea to go to the Saints

He should be given time for the GM to turn over the roster and ride out the dead cap charges over the next 2-3 seasons. The NFC South sucks so even with the cap crunch, he'll have a chance. Problem is all the good assistants are gone

If he gets like $5 mill per over 5 years that is $25 mill. Even if he is fired, he pockets that and is still young enough to work his way back to get another opportunity when he's in his 40's.I wouldn’t go there. He’s 36, making millions, having the time of his live
Could have 20-30 years left in his career making millions each year
I give you 4-5 weeks in New Orleans before it’s depression time, the smiles are gone
Rather try to run it back, build your reputation more and wait for a better opportunity
Mental side is extremely valuable and he’s now having fun while making millions and his reputation at high, going to Saints won’t make it any higher
It’s a short term gain for a longterm loss situation
