Some philly fans on the trade board seem to think Sanheim is on the way out this coming offseason. I don't know a ton about his game, but I thought he was a more offensive guy. Could be an interesting LHD trade target, but I doubt there's much to it TBH.
Sanheim and Konecny for Scandella and Tank? $ is close enough we could retain small bit if needed (they are tight to cap too).

I'd say Tarasenko for Sanheim is a fairly even swap. Tarasenko has slowed down a bit over the last 5 games, pointless in 4 of them. His shot hasn't come back yet despite the high volume he is using it. I think despite the points, anyone who is scouting him closely still has a bit of cause for concern. Konecny for Scandella isn't even close. Tarasenko is worth more than Sanheim as he is putting up a lot of points, but not worth the difference between Konecny and Scandella more. We need to add. Sanheim is a 22+ minute all situation D man and Konecny is a 50+ point pace over his career. You don't get both for Tarasenko and what most here consider a cap dump.

Fair enough. But Flyers can't afford Tank for Sanheim under cap, so was trying to make $ work. I'd add a pick.

We could use a shakeup but I’m hesitant to make a big trade because I think this team already has no chemistry. We’ve had a lot of turnover over the past 2 years and it seems like all we do is keep trying to bring in new players to try to patch it up for the time being. It looks good for a bit and then it falls apart.

Krug and Scandella are out of place on defense. Perunovich is always going to be limited because he’s essentially another Krug and not really what we need.

Up front, it’s just a collection of players. We can roll 4 scoring lines but we’ve seen time and time again that we can’t win like that. I also thought some of our forwards would be better defensively and help out our weak D core, but that’s not happening.

I’m really at a loss for how to fix this team (realistically). In video game world, I’d love to ditch Krug and Tarasenko’s contracts. But it’s hard to see a way out of this mess currently.

Our forwards have been crap. Everyone points to D issues, but many of issues in D zone are forwards.

Idk if its been brought up, but cant they trade peru + for the LD we need and then move scandella & tank to free up cap? Prob make the cap move first.

Sure...Scandella, Perunovich & 1st to Anaheim for Lindholm would probably be fair value, but (1) Anaheim is in a playoff spot and playing well - they're more likely to extend him than expend him, and (2) trading Perunovich has the potential to a regrettable decision; they'd probably prefer to give him time to get comfortable and finds chemistry with any of the forwards. They believe he's got game-breaking talent; and acquiring those guys is way more expensive than developing them. If they sold on Kyrou after his first 10 NHL games, they'd look pretty foolish today.

JT Miller for Tarasenko. Blues retain $1M/yr to make it math. I'd suggest something small from VAN to make it even, but OMG is their cabinet bare. HTF is Benning still allowed to run that franchise?

Honestly - I like the fire that Miller brings. He may be a divisive personality, but with ROR and Schenn and Parayko and Faulk and Krug...I imigine he'd fall in line and welcome the chance to win again.

I agree it could be somewhat distasteful to see peru off so early. However, he and Krug make each other redundant and I can't see a way to get rid of Krug.

What would be wrong with the sort of Johansen Jones trade? The blooze would or could lose, but gey a key piece in the position of dire need.

That didn't work so well for Preds. And since when do we only want 1 offensive D?

That sells Faulk short. He is all around D, like McAvoy or Petro. Not quite as good as those guys, but he is equally strong in all 3 zones.
He has certainly proven to me that he is not the defensive liability that I thought he was. He plays a more well rounded game here than he did in Carolina. I will give him that.
