I remember hearing last season that the players really loved Schneider and in the games Montoyo got ejected, I thought he did a good job setting up the pen. But maybe im just thinking its all roses because by comparison of what I have been used to it looked good.

Wouldn't surprise me if they did that, but Rocker's been getting buzz lately and there's the Braves, Mariners, and Red Sox directly ahead of the Jays that are probably thinking the same play.

Better late than never I suppose. Charlie seems like an awesome guy and I hope he gets another gig down the road. He just wasn't ready to manage a contending team.

Montoyo to me and this goes right back to his first year here felt like a Bench coach cosplaying as a Manager. Just always the impression I had of him. The kind of guy you hire to ease young guys into the majors but not the one you are going to ride with when it is really time to go to battle.

Braves also traded for a comp pick recently so they have the pool to go after Rocker + someone that might slip. Joyce and Misiorowski have been on my radar, the latter more so due to starter potential. Imagine if the guy fills out? 100 mph average velo with a wipeout slider

The jacket, the gatoraid pours, etc. is great for teams who actually win something.

The Jays should win. Then celebrate with champagne, fireworks, cheerleaders, jackets, gatoraid, parades, etc.

Just win. Stop this nonsense that they've somehow achieved something. The Jays are my team, but they look like fools: in the standings, celebrations, etc.

Anyway, on with business. Let's turn this around. The season isn't lost yet.

Going back there was also that Manoah start where he had like 85 pitches through 8 and he wanted to finish the game but Montoyo went to Romano. Little things like that over time really sour the players.

The jacket I'm fine with. Obviously should know not to use it if they're getting smoked 9-1 and just hit a solo shot.

The constant Gatorade dunks have gotten old. For the home opener sure, hell even Canada day. But unless it's a great win with big implications it's overindulgent.
