The Blue 'blew' this one. No way they win the PR battle vs. Harris.

I do not care that he sounds like a petulant kid or it may be a hit hob by Friesen.

They treated this like a business transaction and he deserved or earned better.

The timing of it all stinks as they were resigning players but left him out of the loop.

I know player is bigger than the team but I think without Harris this team certainly does not make it to the Grey Cup.
I might disagree - I think this article does more to justify walters than anything… williej bighill Jeff coat will show up in peak condition

this maybe shows Oliviera and demski that you have to take off-season work seriously always…

Bombers kind of look cash strapped now with $100k extra in QB than everyone else and our OL DL in tact…. Walters must be holding back $$ for a kicker as well

Very interesting take. I did not look at it from that point of view however, it shows a lack of compassion for a guy who was dealing with off field issues and someone who is a team leader.

The alternative would be to overpay an aging RB who maybe has one year left while losing younger, cheaper RBs with potential and more years left who are already, at worst, almost as good as Andrew.

Tough decision and it’s extra tough because Harris turned this team around but logically the Bombers made the right move. We no longer have the cap or the role that Andrew would want here.

Holden, do you know anything about Tyquan Glass? Meant to be a backup DB? KR? Hopefully not made of glass.

Interesting that everyone here is going after Harris - it's not like he's washed up and he probably would have taken less than the Toronto contract
Sad way to end an amazing Winnipeg career

He was offered a contract by Walters. He likely wasn't given the money or promised the role he felt he deserved. A classy athlete doesn't go out the way he did. The luster is off for me in regards to Harris over the last couple seasons, despite his contributions and the Cups.

Oshea is a player coach who will run through walls to protect his guys. If Harris lost Oshea's trust last year he must have really been a problem to deal with. Sounds like they just didn't trust him to be the guy anymore.

Feeling obligated and like you owe 35 year old RB’s something is not how you stay competitive. Harris was offered a contract and a role. He didn’t like it, that’s on him. The Bombers have every right to go in the direction they feel is best for them, both for the short term and the long term.

They made the right decision.

Up to hoisting the the first Grey cup Harris had a spectacular run here. Last off season he let the organization and his teammates down by not being a professional. His lack of commitment led to injuries and and pretty sub par season for Harris. Had the entire team no showed the off season there would have been no second Grey cup.

He broke his trust with O‘Shea but the org gave him an offer still. He took a bigger pay day in Toronto which I think is smart given his age and earning years left. The Sour grapes was unfortunate since his exit was his choice and the result of his actions.

Hope Andrew is motivated, shows up in game shape, and has a good season. I am a Harris fan and he will go down as a legend here but this was business. Bombers need to focus on moving forward.

Truly baffling to see the CFL's lack of social media awareness... Letterman and Ferrell basically give the CFL a free shout out and I just don't see much bump or anything really

Low risk move. Best option probably.

^Jeffcoat is a gem. In this recent interview he was asked if he'd consider playing in Regina: "I don't want to go there!" Jeffcoat said. "That'd be like going to like Norman, Oklahoma."

He also talked about how he's embraced the CFL and actually has fun playing football vs the NFL which is just constantly stressful.
