If this deal happens it will likely be Dman from the hawks. I'm guessing pokka, he looks like he has been past over by kempny and forsling. Both have looked really good.

My guess is pokka and McNeil and Edmonton retains some dollars for this to work. Both of these guys don't fit in the hawks plans.

Geez poor Yakupov, 4 seasons, 4 head coaches. His rookie year he played really well and should have been considered for Calder trophy. Still baffles me why he wasn't part of the final voting. He led all rookies in goals and tied in points. He was robbed as far as I'm concerned.

If he is traded this will be his 5th head coach in five years. Oilers management has made the past 6 years such a unorganized mess and created a poisonous atmosphere it shouldn't be a surprise if a talented prospect can't find consistency.
Hall, RNH, and Eberle have had more coaches and more success

Given Pokka played on same team as puljujarvi in Finland, is a right shot dman, is an offensive man and is young I would imagine he is the main target - I have a feeling the Oilers would need to add to get pokka and I don't think the salary retention is enough of an add so perhaps the Oilers are sending something else...

It's tough, Yak is a great kid but he just doesn't fit in with where we are going.

It just seems perfect. :)

play yak with mcdavid, artifically inflate his trade value then trade or decide he can work with mcdavid. THis makes no sense to me. But going to chicago could save his career.

Drafted the same year as Yakupov and hasn't proven a thing at the NHL level.

1) This wouldn't work. Other GMs aren't that stupid. Not even Jim Benning.
2) The Oilers are trying to win this season and Yakupov is a liability in the top 6.
