Caggiula, Slepyshev, Pitlick all ahead.

I have no idea what games you've been watching if you have Slepyshev ahead of Yak. Sleppy has been awful.

If this deal is for Pokka I can stomach it, but I still felt Yak could turn a corner. Pokka would give us something we need (could be bottom pair RHD/PP specialist).

I'll definitely be rooting for Yak wherever he ends up.

please give me yakupov. If he has any hope he will be able to salvage it on the hawks.

I like Yak as a kid. But Slepyshev has been stronger on the boards, he's bigger, and fills a 3rd/4th line role better than Yak. Yaks not ideal for a 3rd/4th line role which he's been relegated too. Better options are available. Not to mention Caggiula, Versteeg, and arguably Pulju ahead as well.

Hopefully he does well wherever he goes, great person.

What about Bolton Svedberg what's his deal? He's 6'8 239 - and chiarelli likes his big boys

Yakupov has only 1 year left on his contract so acquiring him won't impact the Panarin re-signing. If EDM retains salary, he would fit in the cap space remaining. So, from a salary cap perspective there's no reason this deal can't get done.

But, does it make sense from an on-ice perspective? I would say it does - if - Q is serious about (1) splitting up Panarin and Kane and (2) splitting up Toews and Hossa and having Hossa play on the shutdown line with Kruger.

Can't break up the Panarin-Anisimov-Kane line but Yakupov-Toews-Hossa would be an interesting line, 2 really good 2-way guys who can help defensively and have the talent to help him score goals.

Chicago looks to be in the business of finding more Patrick Kane's. Yakupov, the DeBrincat pick, Panarin, etc.

Geez poor Yakupov, 4 seasons, 4 head coaches. His rookie year he played really well and should have been considered for Calder trophy. Still baffles me why he wasn't part of the final voting. He led all rookies in goals and tied in points. He was robbed as far as I'm concerned.

If he is traded this will be his 5th head coach in five years. Oilers management has made the past 6 years such a unorganized mess and created a poisonous atmosphere it shouldn't be a surprise if a talented prospect can't find consistency.

But you know who would be ideal for that role? Edmonton native (and former first rounder) Mark McNeill. It may not seem like the best value, but it would at least help with the culture change. Pokka fits too.

Yakupov is Kane but when he has the puck it looks like he is being stung and chased by many many bees

The buzz has been Pokka and McNeill for Yak with retention. That's just the internet, nothing verified really.

Who knows? Hopefully we find out soon.

Q has stated he is considering splitting up Panarin and Kane to provide better offensive balance.

I meant Viktor Svedberg - I'm high playing nhl 17 franchise mode and I was scouting a guy named Bolton when I typed that
Pokka doesn't seem to be getting a chance at the NHL level and he seems to be closer at what Stauffer is hinting to(without saying names). Same draft as Yakupov and I doubt the Hawks are tied to him since he was drafted by the Islanders

That seems like a great return, if you ask me. Sure beats having Yak in the press box.

He's not getting a chance with McDavid, and he's not a 3rd liner. Versteeg, Caggiula, Pulju, and Pitlick I would prefer on the 3rd line wing.

It's tough, Yak is a great kid but he just doesn't fit in with where we are going. I don't think any Oiler fans wish ill on him, he's very likeable and good in the community.
