I think he can do 45g-55a-100pts. If scoring stays the same that would put him right around 10th in scoring.

If he scores 150 pts does that put him in the discussion for the best ever? Just kidding. Id put up 27-32 goals, 38-45 assists. 73 ou? im going under.

It'll be fun to look back on this thread once the next season is over.

My prediction is somewhere between 40 and 60 points. I do really hope that someone gets the numbers correctly.

I think big factor is in what position he will play; center or winger.
- also, how much ice time he will get, will he get top 6 ice time, or bottom 6 ice time

His height, age, lack of pro league experience, those must be taken into consideration
when predicting these things.

He is 18, he is coming straight from the WHL, he is 5 foot 9 center.
Players, goalies are so much better in the NHL what in the juniors.
Players play harder, play better defense and are more physical.

He isn't Connor McDavid, nor does he have his speed, nor physical attributes
He is not Sidney Crosby either.

Yes, the scoring is up, way up even but.. recent years, several years now
has shown how difficult it is to play in the NHL as an 18 year old rookie,
even if you are physically ready, or even with pro league experience.

Even rookies in their early 20's struggle.

I will be happily surprised for 80 point season. - i doubt that will happen but yeah

I think 70-80 points. He will have an adjustment period, and then I think 2nd half of the season he really looks great.

I'd be thrilled with a 30+30 rookie season given with what he has to work with on that team.

Looking forward to the World Hockey Championship in May where he will light it up once again wearing the beautiful Maple Leaf.
