Understandably taking it slow with Laroque, he comes out and Guryev comes back in. But otherwise the pairings are the same as what we ended yesterday with.

Chrona does get the start after playing almost all of yesterday's game.

0-0 after one period. Much better start than yesterday, but the Cuda are also 0 for 2 on the power play.

It's a recurring theme, but it just takes the Cuda too much effort to get in and set up in the offensive zone.

Well, once again, two quick goals have put us down 2-0, on two point shots with traffic in front. 1:22 between the two goals. Chrona definitely couldn't see the first one.

---

And just like yesterday, Tristen Robins scores to cut the lead to 2-1. I feel like I just watched this game. Good shift from Robins.

8:53 left to go in the third, still 2-1. Charlotte's just doing a good job of blocking all of our shots.

Sourdif took a penalty midway through the second for a check to the head of Brandon Coe which I was surprised he only got two minutes on. Coe still hasn't returned after it.

Lacy points out something I forgot about:

Charlotte score one with three minutes to go, and then add an empty netter to make it 4-1. That's your final.

I really don't know what to say at this point. They do some positive things out there, but they just cannot win a game. Seven in a row now without a win.

5:30 left, Gushchin had this opportunity to tie it and couldn't get it past Knight:

I didn't notice it on replay because I was too busy hanging my head in disbelief, but on the third goal, Chrona accidentally played it to a Checker on his right when he was trying to clear the puck, who then scores:

Cuda had three power plays, went 0 for 3 on them, shots were 34-34, Cuda only took one minor penalty in the game. And yeah. 4-1, Charlotte.

I remember early in the year they would tweet out post-game interviews with McCarthy on the Cuda Twitter account. Can't remember the last time I saw one of those.

Looks like Coe and Frisch are out, being replaced by Fossier and Pulli.

Still no Bordeleau.

This is definitely getting relegated to the background for me while the Niners game is going.

Cuda take the lead early, 1-0. Gushchin scores on a weak backhand that somehow got through their goalie. But, Colorado gets it back quickly on a deflected point shot.

There was a lengthy delay while the glass was being repaired, so while the game started back at 6:00, there's still 14 minutes left in the first.

Colorado scored two to make it 3-1, before Tristan Robins scores to make it a one goal game. He's had goals in three consecutive games now.

Goal 2 for the Eagles was on the PP, goal 3 on a 3 on 1. Ivan Ivan has assisted on all three of their goals.

--

And now Lindblom manages to poke in a rebound. Tie game.

Pulli sneaks in and scores on a one-timer to make it 4-3. Cuda have scored three times in three minutes, and they chase Colorado goalie Miner.

And, Colorado scores two goals in the span of 1:19 to take the lead back. 12 minutes to go.

Did not notice because I was paying more attention to the Niners, but Romanov entered the game at the start of the third for reasons unknown. Colorado only had two shots on goal for the first 17 minutes of the third. Both went in.

--

After killing a Knyzhov penalty, Pulli scores his second of the game to tie it up with 1:25 to go. This is such an odd game. 5-5, and we're going to OT.

And once again, the Cuda lose in OT.

Hoping Chrona isn't injured, because our other options in goal are a little worrying.

And yes, no Chrona today. Romanov starts, and Makiniemi will back up.

Also, no Gawanke in this one. I'm guessing he got banged up yesterday. Frisch replaces him. The rest of the personnel remains the same.

Todd takes it from the goalie behind the net and gets it to Cardwell for an early Cuda goal. Good start.

And in typical Cuda fashion, Colorado gets one right back a minute later on one Romanov should've had.

And another Colorado goal. Jesus, Romanov can't stop anything right now. 5 goals allowed on 7 shots between today and yesterday's game. Makiniemi is now coming into the game.

Cassels blocks a shot on the PK and goes straight to the back. That'd be a huge loss if he's out. (edit: he's back)

The net came off, but play doesn't stop and the Eagles score to make it 3-1.

End of one period, 3-1 is still the score. Those two allowed by Romanov are a big difference in this game.

Penalties have become an issue for the Cuda, not because we're taking a ton of them, but because it puts our PK on the ice, and our PK is on an abysmal run. Both penalties in that period (one on us, one on them) were a little bit ticky-tack too, so probably not the last we'll see of the special teams today.

Kaspick finds a rebound from a Mukhamadullin shot, puts it in to make it 3-2. He then draws a holding penalty on the next shift.

Another goal off a rebound- Kyle Rau puts it in off a point shot from Guryev. Tie game.

They've done well to fight back this period.

And, as soon as I say that Colorado retakes the lead.

End of the second, they're getting better as the game goes, but obviously they've still got work to do. Annunen has stoned Gushchin a number of times today, Gushchin has five SOG through two periods.

Guryev gets shown in the box as Eagles fans boo, and he's grinning and egging them on. Funny dude.

---

Rebound off Makiniemi's left pad gets put in, and Colorado is now up 5-3.
