He has still seemed like he’s a step slower. Liked him in the first period tonight at least.

Feel bad for anyone who tuned in on NBCS for that one, that was a miserable watch even by our standards. We just do not match up well with this Ontario team.

I'll be surprised if Gushchin doesn't pull a Chmelevski and go back "home" next year. If he isn't called up until after the deadline (or possibly even just the last week of the season), he faces a legitimate possibility of being buried in the AHL yet again next year like the former was even though he has already earned an NHL spot. The difference between reward for good play and the punishment for a bad play is a big problem with this organization now.

Yeah it was better than I expected but not great. I stopped watching after the third Reign goal but the cuda just looked like they had no gas in the tank at all. A step slower to everything. That Makaniemi goal looked like one that Jones would have let in.

The Cuda offense is actually pretty decent this year, but against Ontario they can't seem to get much of anything going. We're 0-4-1 against the Reign, and they've shut us out twice already.

Kinda wonder where this team would be if Couture was never injured. Sharks pulled away some combo of Carpenter and Bordeleau/Peterson/Bailey from the Cuda pretty early.
