Gawanke takes a very stupid tripping penalty, Broberg then with a massive sell job to get Mukhamadullin called for tripping as well. Condors score 5 on 3. Awesome.

Cassels ties it with Makiniemi pulled! 4-4! 1:24 to go in the third.

Now more frustration, as Sabourin gets sticked high, right in front of the referee, and no call. Sabourin is bleeding, too. We're going to OT.

Cuda do get the OT power play on a holding call, but get nothing out of it. Choppy ice wasn't helping, puck kept jumping over sticks.

Gushchin and Robins score on their attempts and Bordeleau misses, Makiniemi stops two of three. Cuda win!



Kind of a roller coaster. I'm almost stunned the Cuda pulled that one off. They got some momentum going in the third and then those two penalties slammed the brakes on that. Too many penalties tonight, especially since the PK wasn't at its best. We get the rematch to this one here in San Jose tomorrow night.

Going to be the first time this season the Barracuda wear the grey "steel" jerseys this season.

They're worn so rarely, partially because they seem to be regarded as an alternate light colored/"white" jersey. Shame, because I think they're our best look.

A Knyzhov shot finds its way in to make it 2-1, end of the first now.

Condors are all just collapsing to the net in the defensive zone, you can kind of see why.

End of second. Condors tied it on a deflection by Wright, who really should’ve been tied up by someone. 2-2.

Condors make it 3-2, Chrona couldn’t see that one.

It's a 4-2 Condors win, but I was really hoping someone had uploaded a clip of the Gawanke incident from the third period, because it was something else.

We were on a power play, and Gawanke got past the defenseman Kemp, who hooks him, and Gawanke goes down a little too easily. Referee calls hooking. But then, the officials start conferring, and after like a minute of talking, they give Gawanke an embellishment call. And then an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on top of it when he argues it. So we go from a 5 on 3 to a 4 on 4, just like that. Looked like it was about to be a big opportunity for us. Not so much.

Cuda weren't good in the third anyway, didn't feel like we had anything going until we pulled the goalie. Campbell played a pretty solid game in the second and third, too.

Lot going on so far. Cassels knocks in a cross-crease pass from Lindblom, Doan immediately answers back for Tucson. 12 seconds between the goals. 3-2 after the first.

We’re doing well at crashing the net today, I’m liking that. All our goals so far are from close to the net.
