I'd say less bipolar, more just bad.Why is that team so bipolar
From the lowlights, it just looks like these guys are doing a really bad job of rotating coverage.Second period starts with Chrona coming in for Makiniemi. He immediately has to make a big save on a John Leonard scoring chance. Cuda just look confused, for some reason.
---
From out of nowhere, Bordeleau scores to cut the lead to 4-2.
And... now Coe on a breakaway! Cuda have just suddenly turned themselves back on. It's 4-3. This game is bizarre.
Strictly based on plus/minus with a team that is struggling. Is there anything to see with Gawanke or Frisch?
Both have yet to play in an NHL game and Frisch is on an AHL contract.
But with Knyshov being waived thought one of them might get a look.

All the vets are more or less expendable. Barabanov isn't really a defensive liability but wingers are the easiest to replace so if there's a decent market for Barabanov as an expiring contract, the Sharks need to take advantage of that even if it's just a 3rd or 4th round pick.Missed Rutta and Barabanov in my prior post. Do either, however, figure in the Sharks' future plans?
At 33, Rutta would seem to be a veteran presence who has won championships - much like Marc Steal with the Flyers or Brendan Smith in New Jersey - rather than a long-term option.
In Barabanov's case, do his defensive liabilities make him expendable as the younger Sharks start cracking the lineup?
