With the way Kniazev's playing, seems like he could be the first defenseman on the call up list next year. He's an LD and there's a chance that Vlasic is bought out so that means there could be nights where the defense looks like:
Ferraro-Burns
Knyzhov-Karlsson
Kniazev-Merkley
Meloche

Probably gonna be fun and terrible defensively
I'm ready for fun because this team is donkey shit to watch most nights

Kniazev is maybe the one bright spot on what's otherwise a dreary season for the Barracuda. We've been bad before, but there's just so little to be excited about on top of that.

Barracuda lost yesterday after going up 4-1 after the first, final score 7-5 to Colorado, and have gone back into last place.

I’d say that Reedy and Chemelevski have been bright spots due to their play on the big club.

Ive been a Reedy doubter since his D+1. I didn't think he was doing enough at the college level to ever make it to the NHL but he's playing solid hockey in a depth role. I don't think he has much more potential than that but a little more refinement and he could be a solid 3rd liner in his best years.

I'd give you Reedy, but I'm talking about the Barracuda's season. Chmelevski was more or less status quo here up until the final two weeks before his callup. I like the new dimensions he's added to his game, though.

What I'd say have been positive/fun things to watch:

-Kniazev's drastic improvement in the second half of the season
-Reedy's expert-level garbage collecting
-Cicek showing potential, though his injury derailed that a bit
-Raska doing Raska things
-Ryan Merkley's complete 180 from whatever he was doing last season to being where he is now

I have trouble counting Leonard as a positive, since he seemingly took a huge step back at the start of the season and spent up until now building his way back to being more or less where he was last year.

We're just more or less playing out the string down here, and apart from Kniazev lately there's not much worth reporting apart from "we lost again." Don't even think we'll see too many junior prospects join the team at the end of the season, with the way the schedule works out.

(This might've been what Lebanezer was linking above)

Alt was fine here, but we've got a ton of defensemen and no forwards. Holway's even been the third line RW the past couple games. Makes sense to me.

Indeed it was. I love when they delete tweets like that.

They should charge for the option to delete tweets. Make it super expensive to encourage folks to make sure they're tweeting something they want to leave on the internets indefinitely.

Anyone have any idea why the Cuda are playing at 10am today? SJ doesn't play again until Sat at Stockton, Ontario doesn't play until until Fri at home, and the building isn't used until the Sharks game on Saturday (Fri night concert cancelled).

I thought they'd originally said this was another of their "Classroom Days" but then there was no mention of that recently and it just became "We have a game at 10 AM, because ???" I have no idea why this game is happening right now, in front of this "crowd":

With no more DW, does this mean we can finally get a new Cuda HC? I have no idea who decides that.
Usually the GM

Edit...

If there's still contract time remaining, owner has to chime in as he'll be paying out the balance.

Seeing some chatter about a logo/jersey change for the Barracuda coming.

Barracuda avatar is now just blank, though the Barracuda twitter account has become kind of a weird follow the last couple months.
