Speculation: Roster Building thread - Part XVII - (TDL is March 7th)

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I can't take watching Lindgren get the puck wide open in the offensive zone, drift towards the boards and then send a muffin down into the corner anymore. There is nothing you can show me or say to me that would convince me he is better than Jones.

It’s almost better they lose and sell
No way they magically get 8th and go all the way
They could even sell and get better playing kids

Honestly I put this on the players
They were 1st overall last season and no one aaa them being this bad
The convo was not good enough to win it all not get 8th

And this is the probably the reason a lot of them haven't been sent packing. GMs aren't offering anywhere near what many here think we should get in return. It amazes me that people will call players all types of names, constantly say how much they suck and yet think we should receive a king's ransom in a trade. Remember, the other GMs and scouts are seeing what we're seeing and are probably coming to similar conclusions about our players.

The NHL is so predictable....deals usually don't happen until a few days before the deadline. GMs are all cowardly robots who refuse to make a move until they're out of time & then they wind up overpaying.

Honestly I don’t blame management for trying . They were so close 2 of the last 3 yrs . Smart move now is to sell but I’m not convinced they will listen especially if they go on a good streak

The 4 Nations tournament showed me that our player issues are not limited to these coaches. The 5 on 5 stuff and other stuff goes back multiple coaches as well. I suspect we will have coaching changes but that will not magically change these players imo.

Hopefully it's a trade with Kreider but could also be they are calling someone up if Trochek can't go.

Nobody is expecting a kings ransom. Except maybe for Panarin.

moving guys like Kreider, ZiB, and Lindgren Is the very definition of addition by subtraction.

Getting their money and their personalities out of this team is worth more than any 1st round pick

I can agree with that....however, I'll bet you the torches and pitchforks will come out if return doesn't meet "expectations".
 
Matthew Tkachuk and Shea Theodore is great for a sellers market, Florida and Vegas will happily use LTIR. Florida still has 2026 & 27 1st rounder, Vegas no 1st rounder until 2027.

However, despite Sweeney fighting for his job, I'd imagine the Bruins aren't buyers with McAvoy and Lindholm out.
