Doesn't it seem insane to give up Pearson for Berrios considering the value going the other way in other trades around the MLB?

I guess it really comes down to how you view Pearson at this point.

If you think everything is ok with him and he'll eventually figure it out and stay healthy, than yep its bad value.

If you think everything is not ok and he's either injury prone and/or destined to be a BP arm, than dealing him now might not be the worst idea when he seems to still have good value.

Yesterday there were reports that the Twins weren't interested in Manoah/Pearson and were more interested in the Jays AA position players.

I think it should be obvious they won't trade Moreno due to his position and how he performed. I think with both Martin and Groshans, I'm sure they would deal one of those 2 and know they still have one and Orelvis charging. Giving up 2 would be byjnd stupid.

I want this trade and don't want it at the same time, ha.

Still anticipating "Padres came in last minute with better offer and get Berrios".

If you can retain Ray and trade for Berrios, your rotation is going to be really good for the next two years. I say go for it even if Pearson is the cost; there’s little guarantee Pearson can stay healthy enough to be productive.

I can see why Berrios cost a ton. Legitimate top of the rotation arm with another year of team control to boot.

Losing SWR hurts but they had to do something to address their rotation longer term.

...maybe now the bullpen will self destruct every third game instead of second lmao
