Don’t like the idea of Pearson in a deal for Barrios. Waste of an asset as this year I don’t see us going anywhere. Next year could be the same if we lose Ray and have Barrios in his place.

They have the money to give him a long term contract. It would also give them a lot of flexibility when it comes to their prospect depth because their infield would essentially be good and done for the next 6-7 years besides a 3B.

I'm not big on rentals given their place in the standings, but it depends on the whole deal. If they're paying a premium like the Yankees did for Rizzo, I'm out. But if it's for a couple secondary prospects or part of a package coming back, it might make sense.

Story's numbers this year are more underwhelming than I remember, very interesting to see what the Rockies are asking.

His slashline against RHPs this year is .233/.307/.390. Not good enough to demand blue chippers for a rental.

If the FO truly sees him as a reliever (which may be the case in private) than not at all.

Can we get a 50% salary retained Josh Donaldson in here as well.

Depends how concerned you are about Pearson, I guess. I wouldn't be happy with it unless it was a bigger deal with Rogers coming back or something.
