Betting nobody noticed the last few series were the manifestation of everything I said. Jays couldn't put up more than 4 runs in any of those games except for two, one in which Walker messed up his shoulder swinging the bat and the other against a pitcher with a 5+ ERA, all while in the lead. Of course, you score 23 runs in just two games, that will average out to look like they put up a very nice 5+ run per game average or so. So, booyah.

Of course, it seems like the more I prove it, the more it happens, and...well, I'd rather they win, so I'm gonna stop.

I'm not dealing any of Martin, Groshans, Moreno or Martinez for Berrios. f*** off. Unless he's agreeing to some sort of extension, because the likelihood of a run this year is low and those aren't prospects you deal for one season in 2022 IMO.

Other teams are getting guys for peanuts or quantity over quality packages and the only team to give up really high prospects on their list was to get a Scherzer AND Turner together.

You want to deal one of the above for one of those Miami starters? Sure. Jose Ramirez? Ok. Marquez who has 2 more years after this one? Fine.

But not for one good run. But I'm not the GM.

The Yankees gave up a 50 FV prospect as the main guy in the Gallo trade.

Is Hand a guy to extend, or get a comp pick for?

I like a deep bullpen.

Comp pick requires that you qualify around 19 million or so which he won't get. Also, cannot make a QO to a player who is acquired mid-season. I would let him pitch a couple of times and see what we have then start extension talks if things look okay.

Agreed. I don’t see any reason that next tier is touched. Why would we pay a monster price no one else has had to pay

The man/woman who loves the small sample size. Nemesis has already disproven this for you with actual numbers and evidence

We all know actual evidence doesn't matter to that user. It's his facts that counts.

Jays ourscored the Red Sox 22-10. Seems like Boston just can't hit good pitching. Jays more then doubled it. The more proof comes out, the more it happens.

If the standings looked a little different yes. Other teams loading up, still bullpen questions and an uphill battle just to contend for a wildcard game... Not the year to sell of the top prospects.

Pearson is no longer a top prospect though.

I was gonna suggest Maeda as an option as I think he has 2 years left at a very cheap price. 2nd in AL Cy Young voting last year.

I knew he wasn't having a good year, but he's been downright horrid. A bit unlucky it seems, giving up a lot of Homer's and high BABIP, but he seems to be giving up hard contact on all his pitches.

Maybe another Pete Walker reclamation project?

Seems he's been better since injury though.

He's been mostly good outside of a horrible April (3.73 ERA, 3.27 FIP since May 1).
