Along Emilia Perez. That movie was absolutely horrible. Singing was atrocious. Songs were awful. Zoe Saldana is a great actress. To win an Oscar for that dreadful movie is so depressing.
Glad Dune 2 finally got some recognition.
Anora is sadder than Pretty Woman. There is no happy ending. Acting is incredible. To me? I love when there's a scene and the acting is done by the eyes and body language. And you can just feel what that character is feeling. Mikey Madison did that in spades.
Same. It was a true independent film. It reportedly cost $6 mil to make and was filmed in Brighton Beach, NY. I definitely want to see that movie as well as the Brutalist. I still haven't seen Wicked so I probably should get on that.
*Preface: I'm not looking for any debate, nor do I think this is inappropriate.* Conclave is intriguing and I absolutely love Stanley Tucci but after seeing Spotlight and reading the book about the investigation, I'm not sure I can stomach it. I do applaud the film makers for trying to show the process. Its timing is spot on given the current Pope's failing health.
I want to see Cynthia Erivo reach EGOT status and I think she will get it next year for Wicked 2 which is more of an adaptation of the other books in the series. It is allegedly darker and tests all of the actors ranges.
All in all I thought the show was well done and Conan O'Brien did an excellent job.

had a very not cool discovery today. I just turned 40 in January. You’ll see why it matters.
Last night I noticed my eyes couldn’t focus anything within a couple feet space from my melon. I chalked it up to a long day, fighting off some sea sickness, fatigue, i just wasn’t feeling the best yesterday.
I woke up this morning and it’s still the same. I’m hoping it’s just a symptom of the scopolamine patches or something. But i don’t like it. I’ve been doing the weird “head down but peaking over the top of my glasses while extending my phone and bringing it closer until i can read it” move
If this is what they say is “forty eyes” then i don’t want it. A very harsh and sobering realization out in the middle of the Caribbean.

Weird part about getting old, is that I'm a hell of a lot smarter than I was in my younger years, I just can't physically do the stuff I used to. If I had the smarts I have today combined with the physical abilities I used to have, I'd be a freakin' superhero.....
