The GM and the coach contradict each other on availability and terms for a trade. Other organizations are probably put off by this and don’t know how to interact with the Flyers.
Then there is the problem with the Flyers can be had in a transaction. The Gauthier and failed Krug-Sanheim fiasco give other clubs the idea that Briere can be rolled. Philly has put itself into a tough situation.

It is absolutely a seller's market, very few teams are absolutely out of it and many teams are looking to add. Flyers could clean up if they were actually making rebuilding moves.
