wow... there are a couple who have clearly checked out, and one who's said he's still voting, but I don't know what to make of a lack of votes from:

jarek
BenchBrawl
chaosrevolver
HT18
Iceman
Leaf lander
MadArcand
markrander87/stoneberg
monster_bertuzzi
Voight

...we should at least be able to count on these 10, plus ResilientBeast, right???

For the record, Namba 17 voted on behalf of our team. (I am moving to a new province this week! Packing everything I own in the world is making me wanna go minimalist...)

Hey, 9 votes is all they are getting on the latest history board project :help:

To be fair, they only have 13 eligible voters to begin with. (I've warned them before that you always have to expect some of the voters to drop out ...)

9 out of 25 on the other hands is a real headscratcher.

Yes, that's really why those projects shouldn't be run with fewer than 20 eligible voters. I know you had to convince me not to cancel the best Europeans project when we couldn't get 20.

yes, but... teams that do poorly in the ATD regular season often stop paying attention and don't vote. It's pretty common to see 50% turnout in the playoffs in the ATD. It usually doesn't drop between rounds 1 and 2 though, thankfully.

Anyway, just give us one more day, and it seems like you'll have several more.

There are 16 teams who made the playoffs. The regular season rankings are unknown to them. (In some cases people might have a reasonable assumption, but then: their assumption could also be wrong and if anything people are rather too optimistic than too pessimistic about their own team.) Yet eight of those 16 participants haven't submitted a ballot so far. :dunno:

I'm out of town until the 29th and I was stupid enough not to send my votes in before I went... sigh.

I can vote I guess but it would probably look pretty shady from the phone and everything given the amount of ballots submitted and what votes from 1 person can damage.

I think I speak for everyone when I say we still want your votes in. We want a greater quantity, quality and diversity of opinions considered.

What was the reason for not doing it in the first place? It's been like this ever since I've been around

I'm not sure it was ever explicitly stated as such, but I believe the general mindset has been, "it's one thing to give someone a first place vote in the regular season as a reward for voting, but in the playoffs, that would just be too much..."
