I will vote within the next hour or two.

OT - if the Leafs can get matched up with the Sens, thats a very winnable series for them. I have no doubt they could beat them in 5 or 6. Washington on the other hand, I think this is their year.

Sent mine in, apologies for the 2-day delay. Robson division was the hardest to rank IMO.

Agreed. So many different teams in that division.

The only common thing is that the division is pretty goalie heavy.

I've got 22 ballots and a half. There are a few hours left, so there's still hope we get the second half-ballot from the Lafayette GMs.

The series threads will be up early on Monday. A reminder: Not all teams make the playoffs, only the top 4 from each division advance to the Conference QFs. The 5th and 6th ranked teams will face off in a consolation round instead. The seeding remains hidden. Therefore the pairings for the QF and the consolation series will be announced in order of the alphabet, not in order of regular season ranking. For example, a thread titled "Baton Rouge Bettmans vs Colorado Evil Commissioners" doesn't indicate Baton Rouge ranked over Colorado in the division. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. You don't know until the standings are published after the end of ATD 2017.

Did we decide what is happening to the 7th placed team in the Bob Cole division? Are they just out completely?
Our team isn't in that division, but it dosn't seem fair to have one team eliminated in the enire draft because it's in the only 7-team division.

Bob Cole Division

Leaf Lander - Toronto Maple Leafs
JFA87-66-99 - Pittsburgh Bankers
Voight - Indiana Ice
Johnny Engine - Southern Shore Breakers
Hawkey Town 18 - Chicago Shamrocks
Madarcand - Hartford Whalers
tinyzombies - Montreal AAA
Have at least a HOME-AWAY TOTAL-GOAL SERIES, as per early Stanley Cup history.

6th vs. 7th, whomever they be. A three-day series. Better to do this than exclude a team for simply being in the only 7-team division.

Tdmm voted.

As for the seven team division, i was thinking about that too. What if the nine teams who missed out were put in another pool and voted on? And then ninth was left out. I don't mind seeing one team left out, but I wouldn't want it to be just via divisional luck.

Shouldn't we have figured this out before the draft? We knew there was going to be such a division coming in and I don't remember anyone really saying anything about it.

At this point, I would say that team is just out and that's it. Nothing personal or anything like that, but further complicating matters at this point doesn't seem like a great idea.

It's not your division, nor is it mine.

"**** them" is not the best policy imo.

Why not give a 3-DAY, Home-and-Away series to the bottom two teams to determine the 6th playoff spot.

Every team deserves at least one shot at a playoff series, imo.

It was agreed on by public vote that
1) seedings should be kept hidden, and that
2) not all teams make the playoffs, which you too voted in favour of. In fact you applauded this option as "the voice of reason and elegant simplicity"...

Personally, I would suggest consoling the one GM that is out with something like the first choice of where to pick in the next ATD, but that wasn't agreed on beforehand, so it's a bit tricky.

If we knew that people are coming back every year, awarding the losers with their pick of choice in order. If you want last pick, by all means take it.

Rene Lecavalier match-ups are up now. The rest will follow after I've had lunch. But we still need to decide how we proceed with the 7th seed of the Cole Division.

Yes we probably should have figured this out earlier, but I don't at all see the logic in saying we shouldn't figure it out now because it hasn't been done yet. It's not like anyone would have done anything different if it was decided earlier. Not deciding now would be like if you were driving in your car and approaching an intersection where you have to make a turn, and saying to yourself when you're 50 ft from the intersection, I should have put my turn signal on when I was 100 ft away, and since I didn't do it then, I'm just not going to put it on at all.

I really like this idea, the main playoffs will have one more round than the consolation bracket anyway, so it wouldn't delay anything.
