Well yea.As in Jacob Fowler? No thanks that plus would have to be pretty big.

Can't, he's under contract this coming season.Askarov should go back to Russia for a couple years, play great and then Millstein shops around for a 4-5M Offer Sheet. Quickest way to get paid.
Montreal has the prospect pool for a trade, whether they want to give up what it'll take is the question.Well yea.
Definitely possible, but it doesn't seem to fit his character. He knows he's a few years to make the jump to the NHL, and is willing to earn a starting role.
Yup my bad. Can't, he's under contract this coming season.
Exactly. We want quality not quantity.Yea but I imagine that the Preds are looking for high level NHL talent or near NHL talent with good upside in a deal for Askarov. They just dropped a ton of cash to compete so I doubt a less developed goalie prospect (albeit a good one) would peak their interest.

We don't need depth in our prospect pool, we have a top 5 pool in the league. We need quality. How can Nashville fit that high level talent under the cap? Fowler would be a good long-term goalie option to supplant Saros nearing the end of his contract, and of course the + which could add some very good depth to their prospect pool.
and come back when Asky is out-performing NHL netminders in the playoffsI’m coming at you saying the value isn’t the same

I'd say top 10-15 IMO, and would most certainly drop after you move Askarov. We don't need depth in our prospect pool, we have a top 5 pool in the league. We need quality.
We have 8 1st rounders in our top ten we're definitely top 5-10.I'd say top 10-15 IMO, and would most certainly drop after you move Askarov.
They have movable contracts like Fabbro. Plus, Askarov is a good centerpiece to go with other enticing pieces like Tomasino to get good young NHL guys on their ELC.

Not at his caphitWould Matheson be a better option for Nashville's compete window than Fabbro?
KniesLeafs should be in on this somehow
The other guy also happens to be very good and 30 isn't old for goaltenders. They are trying to win now with moves like Marchy and Stammer. Doesn't say anything about Askaraov. The fact that Nashville is willing to give up on Askarov and went with a 30 year old small goalie over him should be a massive red flag. They know him best.
No, not every team picks 2 1sts every year or every other year.Everyone in top 10-15 does.
Except our "tiny over the hill 29 year old" is averaging 4th in Vezina voting the last 4 years. Askarov is still the best goalie prospect in the world. The fact that Nashville is willing to give up on Askarov and went with a 30 year old small goalie over him should be a massive red flag. Knies
Knies + Woll
Knies + top defense prospect( Niemala?)
Why would we trade Nyquist? He just scored 70 points for us.Well we'd be taking back Fabbro and say Nyquist.

Literally 1 time. lol and with Stammer and March being added. 100% he doesn't get near it againWhy would we trade Nyquist? He just scored 70 points for us.
Well, we're certainly not trading our best prospects for random Leafs shitDear lord. Putrid.
Except Stamkos and Marchessault will most likely be on line two, why break up our top line?Literally 1 time. lol and with Stammer and March being added. 100% he doesn't get near it again
