Well, we’re f***ed.
Oh god I didn’t even realize it just means more Zaitsev.

Lassi has shown chemistry with ChabotCouple of weeks for Zub with an upper body injury.

I think he is a two way defender he might have the best first pass on the team.Who are the comparables you're using to get to 6 mil? Not a lot of defensive Dmen get over 5. If he wants to approach 6, he's going to need to position himself as a two way defender rather than the defensive conscience to Chabot.

like 4 games in next 7?Well at least dorion can see beforehand how costly losing Zub will be. Expecting us to win very minimal without our best shut down D

True enough. And, not hard to guess that's because teams know that if they have a good or decent RD, resigning the player is a good idea versus taking a chance that you will find a replacement.Part of the reason why there aren't a lot of RD available is because they typically re-sign with their teams.
True enough. It might still happen though, but maybe not until the end of year. That's the optimistic & hopeful view I guess. It would have been nice to see the team as it was meant to be constructed for 10 games.

Devastating blow to lose him. I hope they opt to calling someone up instead of playing Zaitsev.
We didn't, Talbot was injured in training camp. He was supposed to be our 1a or 1b,Injuries are a part of the game.
I was surprised we went 5 games with a full line up tbh.
When teams lose a top end D man, the #7 guy ends up playing or a call up that is playing top minutes in the AHL ends up playing.pierre really has to fix the D
Injuries happen and good teams overcome them
Lets see how the depth handles this
yes someone needs to step up but I don't think we are that deep on defense. If we had a strong 2nd pairing defensemen who could move up that would be goodWhen teams lose a top end D man, the #7 guy ends up playing or a call up that is playing top minutes in the AHL ends up playing.
Good teams don't have replacement level players stashed away when a player of Zub's calibre goes down.
Someone needs to step up. As is the case for every other team..
