He’s definitely better than Methot, who I think is heavily overrated because he played with our franchise’s best ever player. Chabot has looked good, even great (last season especially), but he’s certainly no Karlsson so Chabot-Zub won’t be as good as Methot-EK even if Zub is better than Methot in all 3 zones.

Agreed never overrated just alot of fans don't understand how important and unique a player he was. Being hard to play against while not being a net negative from a puck possession standpoint for D men is very hard. People seemed to forget that about Zub at times too.

I have to believe that is more on Zub than on us.

Zub will make more money by going to market, not much we can do about it.

If Dorion has been dragging his feet then we have a very real problem.

I’d love to see him signed but there seems to be a plan on how the moves/signings are being made. Even if the plan is to promote JBD and Thomson next year we still need Zub IMO.

I'm sure that Dorion wants to resigned Zub but at the end of the day it will be Zub that decided if he wants to stay or go. Maybe Zub wants to hit the free agent market and he's got every right to do that. I hope we can signed him long term
