On a side note, who is the horrific play by play guy who seems to have gotten the job by winning a "Leafs most die hard fan" contest?

Unbearable.

Wow, just wow.

Why is Horvat playing in the NHL? 5 games, 0 points, and player 5:56 against us the other night.

Seems to be a complete mismanagement of a player.

I do believe he is coming back from an injury. That might explain the stats and low icetime. But yes, a stint int eh AHL would probably be better for him right now.

Canucks wanted to give him "his 9 games" and make a decision, same as we were doing with Lazar, but then he got hurt.

I guess there's still 4 games left before the team needs to make a decision on him, but it seems to me like he'll be back in the WHL by next week.

No idea...

Especially since they had no inclination in re-signing him.

Watch for them to let O'Reilly walk too.

Something toxic about that whole organization.

It's funny because Sens in 2012-13 were the Avs of 2013-14. Then the following year after success, both teams struggle.

IMO, that's a bit expected with young and inexperienced rebuilding teams with a low payroll. But that's just me maybe, I'm so anti-HF :naughty:

Will HF be on the AVS case this year and next summer like they were with the Sens? Remains to be seen!

Seriously though, i use to like him. Now i have to hate him. :p::sarcasm:

All my sens friends are telling me Gonchar is 'so good' but I honestly don't see how, the dude is washed up I find. He played well tonight though I'll give him that...he was injured in Dallas so I guess we'll know what state he's in after a few more games

Keep him under 20 minutes a game and you'll be fine.

Knowing MT he'll be at ~25 mins in no time...

I wouldn't mind him in a limited role on the habs, and eating up a lot of PP minutes. I noticed he's really calm with the puck, he won't just receive it and pass it off or shoot it right away. He doesn't panic with the puck he actually holds it and scopes out his options...I liked that part of his game.

i didn't read why the Habs got Gonchar, but at least it allows them to free 1.7m next year from trading Moen

at this point he's a smart player and mentor which is atleast something

Gonchar can eat up decent minutes without costing the team a win....or at least, he used to. Haven't watched him so far this year with the Habs.
