We love Spezza. He isn't costing us games. Our defense is costing us games.

That is what Spezza wants you to think.

It is the curse of the Spezza.

When Spezza is off the team, you will start winning again.

I am I the only one here who thinks that, maybe, there's an off-chance we're witnessing a 3-act play over 3 NHL seasons that will chronicle the rise of Patrick Roy as a great NHL coach, his breaking and subsequent insanity, and inevitable banishment from the NHL because he burst every vessel in his brain by yelling too loud & too often?

At the very least, he seems like he's the kind of coach that MIGHT have a shorter shelf-life than the average NHL bench boss does - get those immediate results & boost when he comes in, but the players tune you out a bit quicker - Keenan, Torts, etc...

I'm not saying that's exactly what Roy is, but it at least bears watching. It's a possibility.

I told everyone in the summer before Roy started coaching, that he is just another Torts. No one wanted to listen. People treated him like some kind of coaching god before he even coached one NHL game and even praised his antics (while simultaneously roasting Torts for doing the same thing).

I dunno anymore. :dunno:

Jesus, not everyone has a secret "narrative."
He posted something interesting. Let it go.

Oh! So what you're saying is that you think we should have kept Bishop and traded Lehner to get Lee back... :shakehead

Glad you're not the GM!

Wish we got Johnson, Palat, or Kucherov instead of Conacher

Moen was pretty bad also but the Habs powerplay is 28th in NHL @ %7.7...so brutal! Gonchar might help that.
