I don't interact with any Canadian fans, so I'm not at all bothered by Edmonton winning. McDavid and Draisaitl are amazing hockey players and seem to be fairly likeable, so I'm good with them winning. Plus Henrique and Carrick.

Florida is our sister franchise, and they've never won, so I'm good with them winning as well. They have several annoying players (Tkachuk, Bennett, Cousins), but are otherwise ok.

On balance, I think I'm rooting for the Oilers, but I'm good with either team.

I want oilers to win, Perry, Carrick, Henrique, and having McDavid win the cup would be a great sight to see and tell my kids that I saw it happen.
Pretty sure this is it for Perry. He might not retire, but I'd be surprised if anyone signed him next year.

I'm torn about this final. I have no interest in FL other than them winning their 1st cup. As for Edmonton, I still realllly struggle rooting for them, but that's probably who I'd choose (mainly because of the ex-Ducks). Although, even though I'm not a big McD fan, he deserves it. Guy is just unbelievable.

Don't forget guys that Florida also has several ex-Ducks to root for (Montour, Kulikov, Stolarz) ;)

This is mostly how I feel. Essentially, there aren't any major factors that would make me upset with the outcome. Both have solid reasons to support and it's a wash. Either Canada is going to party for ending a drought or Florida for it's first ever cup, both fun.

Yeah I'm also happy with either team winning it. I guess I like Panthers more so will be kind of cheering for them

Not sure who to root for. At this point, what's more valuable? Moving up one pick in the first round, or moving up 1 round at a later round?

No Ducks featured in this, but I’m very excited to watch.

I disliked the Oilers for getting 4 1OA picks in 6 years. That dislike quickly grew into hate from our playoff series.

I know it's been a while since we've been in the postseason, but it baffles me how any Ducks fan can root for them lol
I don't understand why I should be upset that a random die roll came up with their logo a few times. That's not their fault. They were legitimately bad and got lucky.

And we beat them in the postseason so I don't harbor a grudge.

To be fair the entire time they were bad their fanbase on here was telling us that we were somehow worse

Ehhh I don't really care about them getting 4 1sts, McDavid sure, but the other three are a bust, a great 2nd pairing center but a weak 1st overall and a guy they did f*** all with and then traded for a whole lot of nothing.

I genuinely don't hold any animosity towards like 90% of the league, Kings, Knights and Sharks are the only teams I dislike (pour one out for Arizona those greaseballs were on that list too), so when it comes to picking a team to root for in a duckless finals I usually just go with the one with the most former ducks / players I like watching play and that is the Oilers.

But at the end of the day I don't REALLY give a f*** if either one of them wins it as long as the hockey is good.

I joined here just about a year ago (I was mostly on the team boards until then) so I missed all that. And I tend to avoid other teams' fans like the plague on internet boards.

It sounds like your experience is similar to mine with Boston fans, so I get it.
