And now Carrick just speared a guy in the nuts. Oilers are unhinged.

It was very disheartening watching the broadcast, with multiple replays showing Draisaitl leaving his feet and elbowing in the head and the refereeing 'expert' saying it shouldn't be more then a 2 minute minor.

And not to mention it was only assessed straight up as a 2 minute roughing by the on-ice officials, that call straight up led to the game going completely out of hand.

Imagine if someone like Carrick headshotted Barkov like that - I guarantee it would be 3+ games minimum. But given it's a star player....he'll get nothing I'm sure.

Foegele should also get at least 1 game for his knee, that was about as deliberate as you're ever going to see. Especially cheap on a guy who got a serious injury on the same type of play last season.

Oiler fans are insufferable. Everywhere they are crying about Panther players diving. Draisaitl honestly should be suspended. He left his feet and elbowed Barkov in the face.

I hope the Panthers sweep these assholes.
They always have been. It was utterly bizarre seeing so many people on here wanting Edmonton win because of they have a few ex-Anaheim players.

Not NHL, but PWHL. Minnesota is writing the book on how to piss off a fan base within days of winning a championship.

I'm still rooting for Edmonton because I'd still like Henrique and Carrick to win the Cup, plus I think McDavid and Draisaitl deserve it.

The key to not being annoyed by Edmonton fans is simply not to interact with them.

I completely agree on the Barkov hit. Draisaitl should be suspended.

The Foegele one is a tough one because Luostarinen tried to move out of the way which makes it hard for the guy doing the hit. I don’t think a suspension is necessary there.

Within days of winning the championship they fire their GM that is a local Minnesota hero, which due to the coach wanting both the coach and GM job originally makes it seem like a coup. Then reports come out that they’ve abandoned their draft strategy they’ve worked on for a year and the coach drafts a known bigot that other teams were avoiding. The league is very LGBTQ friendly considering a ton of players are from that community, so she got boo’d when drafted.

Edit: oh and they didn’t draft Amanda Kessel either.

Deserve has nothing to do with it. What are they doing to EARN it? 1 point between the 2 of them this series.

McDavid is the best player in the world, possibly the best player ever. Draisaitl is one of the top 10 (maybe top 5) players in the world right now, and has been for a long time. They've done plenty to earn it, your two-game sample size aside. McDavid and Draisaitl are the top two scorers in the playoffs.

It's hard to imagine a world where Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen didn't win a single championship together, but that's essentially what we've got with the Oilers right now. I don't want the Oilers to be a dynasty (mostly because I'm hoping the Ducks can get back in there), but I'd like to see them get one.

I'm glad you guys are starting to see the light and are coming to realize the levels of subhuman scummery the worst dregs of Edmonton's fanbase exude. That fanbase f***ing sucks. And deserves absolutely nothing.
yeah, i really couldn't care less about henrique and carrick. and perry already has a cup. i've hated that franchise and fanbase since 06
