This ESPN broadcast of the VGK-Bos game is so cringeworthy. Mess & Chelios have never worked as game analysts before tonight. Not sure who thought this was a good idea.

I feel like ESPN cared more about getting big name guys in the studio than guys actually good at being analysts. AT least TNT is sort of like NBCSN was.

Is Vegas even going to make the playoffs?

It's gonna be a struggle. Even if they make the playoffs, they'll be lucky to win a round.

Their owner is such an impatient jackass. He's now getting an up close & personal look at his top heavy all star Frankenstein team he just had to have, which has absolutely zero depth & barely any reinforcements on the horizon in the AHL.

When next season comes around & they are finally forced to cut salary, it's gonna start to get really ugly for them. Plus Stone is already starting to look old, Pacioretty can't stay healthy for more than 10 games at a time & William Karlsson is playing like he's back on Columbus.

That's exactly what ESPN always does. Star power & big names for casual viewers. They could give a shit about putting out a quality broadcast, especially for hockey when they trot out people like Leah Hextall & Emily Kaplan. All they care about is appearance & catering to the mob.

Really happy Eichel and his 10 million dollar salary are their problem and not ours.

Vegas is doing the expansion experience backwards, and it's pretty amazing how that is happening.

They can have women actually competent at their job too like Kathryn Tappen, but no good get some tokens that are terrible.

Wasn't Ethan Bear supposed to be another up-and-coming young defenseman?

I didn’t even know plays for Carolina now (although I guess it’s prudent to always assume every defenseman in the NHL plays for Carolina).
If you played NHL 22 you’d know he’s still in the league. I’m sorry EA, but nobody gives a shit about his special NHL 22 jersey written in his native indigenous tribe’s language. Your post proves my point.

What's even worse is their stuck with 3 guys on huge contracts for the next 4-5 seasons that will prohibit them for really bottoming out & acquiring high draft picks. They're going to be in a position like San Jose with almost no high end AHL help on the way. Plus their owner doesn't have the stomach, the ego or the patience to rebuild, so he'll keep chasing more bad contracts. It will make for interesting comic relief.

Chicken and egg, no? I was definitely one of the loudest Blackwell complainers here last year. But, my complaints largely centered on my opinion that his ice time should have been going to Laf or Kakko in what was clearly still a rebuilding/development year. Who knows where we are with those two players this season if one of them had been given a real opportunity to grow as an offensive threat last year?

This year is obviously different. They are competing for home ice and we’re playing Dryden Hunt in that spot. It’s an invalid comparison.
I get it, believe me. It a fine line to be drawn. Blackwell helped them win (believe it or not) and even though that wasnt the goal, the kids NEED to taste winning. Losing more often than not, is NOT an option. But yes, their development with less ice time, certainly suffered.

Thats gonna make Shesty envious/pissed. If the scenario presents itself tonight ........watch out!
Predicting within 5 games, he gets his 1st. The time is right.

Shesty just shouldn’t be attempting it when they are only up by one and with just under a min still left. Lol.

Yeah Chelios is doing okay because he's keeping his comments short but Mess is kind of tripping over his own words trying to be more descriptive. Better to keep it short and sweet.
I was kind of wondering if Messier was actually high on something ? They were on a telecast together during a Ranger game recently . I forget if it was the Caps or the Penguins....but he seemed quite talkative ...more than I have ever noticed from him . Maybe he was just in a good mood . Chelios was better than expected....considered he was hated by so many of his peers .

One of the last surviving and by far the most influential (listened to worldwide, including being noted/relied upon by top-ranking foreign politicians and other leaders... they've interviewed two or three POTUSes on their turf) Russian-speaking independent mass-media - the radio station Echo of Moscow is liquidated (including all of its online presence).
It has operated for the whole length of the independent Russian Federation existence. Surviving the days of the attempted KGB coup in 1991 - the last time someone attempted and *almost* succeeded in shutting them down..)
Killed by a Rat (no, not that one).
(anyone who knows anything about post-Soviet media and indeed journalism in general would know what it means)

Sorry about the off-topic.

Big win for the Yotes. Wish I bet them on Ceasars app!
Canadiens beat the Flames. Habs actually won 6 out of their last 7 games. #Marty!
Sens got shutout by the Panthers. They are 1pt ahead of Tampa in the Atlantic.
Wild picked up 2 points to keep the playoff hunt. Sitting 3rd in the Central, 3pts ahead of the wildcard teams.
Canucks beat the Isles. With 8 games to go till the deadline they are now 4 pts out of a wildcard birth. Dissapointing season for the Isles who were highly regarded as one of the teams to beat. Wonder if they will sell off?
B’s beat up on the Vegas Eichels. Vegas is now clinging onto the last wildcard spot. Vegas lost 3 of their last 4 games.
Hawks beat the Oilers, but Oil grabbed an important point the Oil are now 3rd in the Pacific.
Pens beat up on the Lightning. They are now 3 pts ahead of the Rangers.
Caps beat the Canes. Caps are now 10pts ahead of the Jackets but Jackets have 2 games in hand.

Didn’t Gallant comment on that? Said something like ‘he’s saved us so many times I’m not gonna complain when he does one silly thing’.

Yeah, he didn't even call it silly. He said after all he's done, he "liked" it and wished it went in for him.
