A few interesting names on waivers today. Rudolf Balcers (showed some production in limited NHL minutes and was over point per game in the AHL) and Oliver Kylington (LH Swedish Dman with a little upside still). Also Evgeny Svechnikov. Kinda hope Carolina takes him just for shits and giggles.

Callahan and Dominic Moore are listed as analysts for NBC. That’s new, right? Don’t remember either being on broadcasts.

Milbury stole a pay check for almost 15 years. Good riddance. Absolutely useless analyst.

Callahan did some work for sportsnet in canada last year. Being recently removed from the game he added a different perspective as a player who played against most of the players he was commenting on.

that’s the first thing I thought of myself. The biggest issue with Milbury and some of the old timers is they just talk about their time. It’s clear Milbury didn’t stay up on the recent players the way he should as an analyst. He would make points that were no longer accurate. As if he the last time he looked at a teams roster was a year ago. He just didn’t spend the time on today’s game. It’s lazy and it gets old listening to “when i played” every single night in response to every question.

that is harassment. Cullen should wait to sue Pierre for when it suits him, if women can wait 20 years to sue someone, men should be able to do the same :sarcasm: wait until you are broke, maybe Pierre will still be working for NBC

Derek Stepan and Tim Stuetzle did some quarantining together because they both got to camp late for Ottawa. I watched a video and Stepan makes a joke saying he has three little ones at home and now he’s adopted an 18 year old German.

Meanwhile, they have Stepan centering Stuetzle and Dadanov in camp.

It’s literally what I hoped for. STEPan and DADanov are Stuetzle’s step dads. I need to make a movie poster and send it to Ottawa.
Crazy that Stepan is the "dad" now. I still remember when he was a wee lad scoring a hat trick in his first game.

Evander Kane files for bankruptcy with 27 million in debt. How the f*** do you do that? This guy has been a head case everywhere he’s been. No wonder he wants to fight Jake Paul:sarcasm:

He hung with Floyd Mayweather and crew when he was younger in Atlanta. Guess he didn't get the best financial advice. That's not being called a headcase, that's called giving yourself a headcase.

There are a lot of hockey guys on wall street and in the finance and business world. I have had the pleasure and honor of working with them. We're a bunch of grinders who wanted to be NHLers, aren't/weren't good enough to play, so throwing up that X is our Stanley Cup.

Hockey players are exceptional individuals in the business of winning. We're in the business of exceptionalism, and all we care about is winning. Rest assured no one's out there prize fighting in their post-hockey career.

I’m reading the Sharks are being sued too because he set up loans with direct deposit and the Sharks stopped paying October 2019 and Kane stopped paying December 2019. He’s got 7 dependents wtf! He’s been a locker room issue on every team he’s played for. What a mess.

He's married with a kid from what I know. Kane has a gambling debt dude. I'm referring to making investments and not trying to double down in Vegas like Floyd's TMT Group. Floyd is the house when he's fighting in Vegas.

I doubt the Rangers would make a claim for any of these. Although I would not mind Corey Perry. He would add grit as well and maybe he can have a bounce back year. Always liked him as a player.

theres actually a ton of guys on wall st living way above their means one market swing away from bankruptcy too. I’ve never met so many financially reckless people then when I worked in oil for a year.

Not everyone is good at what they do. Actually most that I come across are below average, average, or predominantly aspirational middle managers at best. It's not too different in hockey, there are NHLers, and there are SPJHLers. That's just how life works.

It is to bad...Kane is a great talent but too easily led by off ice issues . These guys are just making way too much money at a young age . They have issues and they have money...and they have vultures looking all the time for that easy prey . It is really sad .
