they changed the rules...his qualifying offer would be $8.4 mil based on 120% of the 7mil aav since that is less than if you based it on the final year

Yeah, like Leetch3 said, the MOU changed this so his QO will be 120% of his AAV

- the base salary of the final year (as it was before)
- 120% of AAV

So if his base salary is less than $8.4 million, his QO will be the base salary.

thanks for clarifying...btw the unofficial report has the contract with no signing bonus. base salary is 4 mil, 7 mil and 10 mil in the 3 years.
