I’m thinking they just wanna get as many eyes as possible? They are planning to have multiple games on NBC sports network Wednesday eve so that’s probably why the early start.

Low key really disappointing that PIT -PHI is the opening game of the season. Extremely boring matchup I hate watching these two teams play each other. Chicago Tampa is more interesting

really? One should be a close game the other on paper should be a blowout even without Kucherov.

I raised a brow at the blowout comment until I remembered how bad Chicago is now.

I've gotten too used to them being good. They may out suck every team that isn't Detroit this year.

Now that I work from home I wish every game would start at 5:30.

Hockey from around 3:30-9:30 would be great. No missing west coast games. Shamelessly able to drink, if I feel like it, for any and all games since it’s close enough to the end of the work day. Doing UX from home anyway, can afford a beer here and there.

Now that I work from home I wish every game would start at 5:30.

I work till 6 so if I'm not in the middle of a heavy workload I can watch it from the beginning, which is usually the case, but if I'm not I can't.

i really felt Podkolzin would be the trade up target and young center piece for the Rangers rebuild with a Kakko ending up in Philly and a Laf in Pittsburgh.

Milbury stole a pay check for almost 15 years. Good riddance. Absolutely useless analyst.

And like Kravtsov 2 years ago, there's a pretty good reason for the KHL team to not release him earlier, with KHL rights at stake.

Good for Vancouver though. Podkolzin making the jump is interesting.

Likely will sign to join 21-22 season and just like Kravtsov he might find himself back to KHL to get seasoned for another year.

Smart move NBC. Cater to your core consumers. These guys are reading the tea leaves and adapting. I’d love to see a proxy war between the Sportsnet and TSN guys on NBC.

Derek Stepan and Tim Stuetzle did some quarantining together because they both got to camp late for Ottawa. I watched a video and Stepan makes a joke saying he has three little ones at home and now he’s adopted an 18 year old German.

Meanwhile, they have Stepan centering Stuetzle and Dadanov in camp.

It’s literally what I hoped for. STEPan and DADanov are Stuetzle’s step dads. I need to make a movie poster and send it to Ottawa.
