Reirdon is like the Caps version of Colin Campbell. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets canned after this round in favor of Gallant/Laviolette. Leonosis doesn't play around.

Isles would as they're just... not talented at all. You can only feast on bad goaltending for so long.

Columbus would to a lesser extent, but I think they're better and deeper than they get credit for.

Montreal as you said since that entire team is basically a 3rd line. As long as they beat Philly I'm good. They can f*** off against who ever they would get next.

I still think Boston comes out of the east. They'll get their heads out of their asses eventually.
I’m more concerned with an asteroid hitting the earth than I am of that Islanders roster winning anything.

I went to the 16 hour fast, and stop all food from 4:00 in the afternoon to 8:00 the next morning. I lost 12 pounds and dropped my blood sugar level. Fats are not so much the issue as much as carbs.
Do you think carbs are that bad for young people who play sports? I’ve gained some weight during Covid lockdown as I went from eating a ton but playing hockey 4+ times per week, to still eating a ton but getting no exercise  Pro hockey players eat a lot of carbs so I assume they’re not that bad if you’re much more active than the majority of people?

miller did not need to be added to the deal. i don't see why he can't be like kreider a young vet on this team. brings grit attitude and skill.. yea he had issues but he grew up in my opinion. I bet Quinn would have liked Miller. McDonagh had to be moved, Miller did not

We didn't get good value for Miller but sometimes players begin to wake up after they've been traded. If Miller hadn't been moved he might still be that 45/50 point a year guy--still throwing pucks away at inopportune times and still having subpar playoff performances. I was never much of a fan of Namestnikov but the Rangers are better off now for the things they did (even if they were mistakes) than if they hadn't done them. That's pretty much the point I was making--and Miller in our cap structure changes the dynamic we have now--Miller in our lineup might mean we wouldn't have won either of the last two lotteries because he would have changed how are season would have gone in both cases.

Yep. Carbs have their use for sure like you mentioned.
Big problem as we get older/less active is insulin resistance gets worse.

Ok so says they stented his coronary artery.

Guessing it was a heart attack rather than angina.

I had chest pains a few years ago that I thought was my heart. In the end it ended up being esophageal spasms but while undergoing tests on my heart they discovered an underlying genetic issue I have. So this kinda stuff is always scary to read about.

Since my diagnosis I've gone vegan, and stopped eating all junk food. Has been huge for me in keeping my heart healthy.

It could still be either despite getting a stent. Angina is the symptom of chest pain cause be ischemia which is a lack of blood flow to the heart muscle. A heart attack is caused by the same process but occurs when there is enough ischemia to cause heart damage which is measured by release of a heart protein called troponin which can be measured on a blood test.

Glad to hear you are doing ok.

No, I wouldn't suggest a younger person forego carbs altogether, although I would warn that you still have to be careful, as the decisions you make when you're younger can have a lasting effect.

She's a hockey player explains a lot. You get guys like Patrick Sharp there who is also there because he's a hockey player but has no personality. There is honestly no reason why they should have people up there just because they're hockey players. JR, Keith Jones, to a smaller extent Anson Carter all are interesting to listen to. The job requirement should be more than "knows about hockey".

Islanders, Blue Jackets and Stars demonstrating how commitment to defense and forechecking gives skilled players fits.

yes and no. I’m seeing teams that live by a very strict structure are having a much easier time transitioning back to playing In this environment than skill guys who just clearly are out of shape and out of rhythm.

islanders have had strong starts every year under Trotz and fall apart as Way more skilled teams get their games together later in the year. Talent wins championships normally. This is just weird.

Patrick Sharp isn't awful, he's a bit boring but he's really there because of his looks, and he's a somewhat well-known name. Kendall Coyne is in no way a broadcaster, idk if they still bring her on but its clear she doesn't belong on TV. Don't know why they're trying to make her a thing. Also she's not even a former player, she's still a current player as far as I know.

No active people need some carbs. Hockey players are known to wolf down pizza in between periods of OT games, they're going to burn those calories off pretty quickly and its more or less instant energy.

Carbs get a bit of a bad rep but its really high carbs in combination with high fats and lack of activity where things go straight to hell.

Like you can eat like a moron but if you also work out like a beast, you won't put on weight. It's not 100% healthy and eventually your body will tell you to go F yourself but it can be done.

Barring some sort of family event, have to think Rask will want a trade or buyout. One season remaining on current contract. No prospect G played any games for Boston this or last season. Maybe they enter the market for Georgiev to split with Halak.

I'm talking about AJ Mleckzo. I wonder if hockey is not popular enough to have enough of a pool of female analysts like Kathryn Tappen without having to resort to former or current athletes. But you have Deb Kaufman who is pretty good. I think she's Deb Placey now. They SHOULD be able to find a female analyst that is either a hockey player with personality or just an analyst. Don't scrape the bottom of the barrel.

Leah Hextall is also good.
