Unless they’re the Islanders, Devils, or Flyers, it’s hard for me to maintain my hate for a franchise that hasn’t had a great team in 25 years. They’ve had ok teams, but even the teams that have won a couple of rounds haven’t really been all that good.
They've basically been a worse version of us. Just replace Lundqvist with Price.

Holtby is really not good anymore.

Everyone talks about Hank being cooked but Holtby despite being 8 years younger has had worse numbers on better teams for 3 years now. He had his good playoff run for the Cup after a bad regular season and then since then he’s been flat out bad. I’d take Hank right now over Holtby no question.
Watching other teams and the ugly goals given up by other goalies, people on this board really need some perspective. Hank has spoiled us for so many years .

You’re talking about just their last stretch in the playoffs, but I’m thinking back to the Plekanec teams, the Theodore teams, and the Koivu teams too... some years those groups were pretty decent, but they haven’t been a really strong team since Patrick Roy was there.

Yeah that’s for sure.

Even now though with Hank not being what he used to he’s still on par with some of these other goalies. Holtby has been worse while playing behind a better team these past few years. And he’s only one example.

I liked JT actually but all the moves we've made since the letter came out has led us on a path to Artemi Panarin, Kaapo Kakko and Alexis Lafreniere. These things maybe don't happen if we hung on to Miller, McDonagh, Nash, Shattenkirk and Zuccarello. We might even still have AV as our coach.
miller did not need to be added to the deal. i don't see why he can't be like kreider a young vet on this team. brings grit attitude and skill.. yea he had issues but he grew up in my opinion. I bet Quinn would have liked Miller. McDonagh had to be moved, Miller did not

Miller also played his way off the team. Moving him wasn't an issue, the lack of a return was.

He'd be great to have right now, but I'd say that things have gone pretty well since that deal, even if the return wasn't ideal.

Islanders, Blue Jackets and Stars demonstrating how commitment to defense and forechecking gives skilled players fits.

Washington has looked like hot ass.

Isles have had a 2nd round ceiling. They won't get by the winner of the Canes/Bruins series unless the winner of that series comes out of it with a ton of injuries.

I think the east is wide open. I don't see Montreal keeping this up, but any other team going to the Finals wouldn't surprise me.

Isles would as they're just... not talented at all. You can only feast on bad goaltending for so long.

Columbus would to a lesser extent, but I think they're better and deeper than they get credit for.

Montreal as you said since that entire team is basically a 3rd line. As long as they beat Philly I'm good. They can f*** off against who ever they would get next.

I still think Boston comes out of the east. They'll get their heads out of their asses eventually.

As much as I hate the Islanders I can’t bring myself to root for the Caps.

They’re total scum. Their players are basically given free reign to take runs at the Isles players all game.
I agree and I’ll go you one better. I really don’t hate the Isles when we’re not playing them.

I went to the 16 hour fast, and stop all food from 4:00 in the afternoon to 8:00 the next morning. I lost 12 pounds and dropped my blood sugar level. Fats are not so much the issue as much as carbs.
Intermittent fasting has shown amazing results.

Honestly I've been interested in chronobiology...our bodies are actually designed to have our biggest meal in the morning and smallest at night... fascinating stuff.

Anyways for me personally it's about cutting fats...there's a bunch of reasons for my personal biology that seems to be problematic.

Going vegan isn't necessarily the best thing..the key is to eat healthy. I could eat nothing but potato chips and deep fried tofu and I'd die as fast or faster than eating the SAD (standard American diet).

Eating healthy is the key.

We use almost 0.oil in my food, and most of the family food. Lots of. Veggies, fruits, etc. I go light on nuts but it doesn't seem to be causing me issues so I've been upping my walnut intake in bread.

Speaking of bread I bought a bread machine and for the last 2 years I make the family bread. Whole wheat, no oil, eggs, etc. It's about as healthy a bread as you can make. I usually put some walnuts in it for some flavor. the family legit loves it and prefers it to store bought bread. For anyone who has ever thought about it.. it's totally worth it. I've got a high end zojirushi that is amazing.
