Seriously, what happened to bowman? Built some of the best teams in modern times and then totally lost it.
He took over the team when the core was already in place. Dude has always been overrated. He’s not the worst GM out there but, overall, he’s pretty unimpressive.

He definitely doesn’t have the mind of his dad, that’s for sure.

just wondering if we force ADA and Lemieux to sign their qualifying offers since they have no leverage is that cap circumvention or using the system? cause sharks could have made leblanc sign his qualifying offer which would have been even less than $1 mil

This whole cap circumvention thing is bs. It benefits Labanc (not Leblanc) more long term if things go right than it does the Sharks

Thank you for calling me out on this! Just can't reconcile that a Staten Island kid has a French-Canadian last name, but I promise not to make a mistake with Kaliev - a Staten Island kid with a Russian last name.

All qualifying offers expire on July 15th. It's possible that one or both sign their QO by that date, but the team can't in anyway force them to do it. All the player has to do is wait. Of course, if the team is only offering a 1 or 2 year deal for less money than the QO, and the player doesn't think the team is likely to budge much on the numbers, then signing the QO may be in their best interest. Miller signed his QO back in 2015. Prior to that, he had 29 points in 88 career games (23 points in 58 games in 2014-15).

I'm not sure what they will offer Lemieux. It could be that he signs his QO, but I think it's more likely that they lock him up for a couple years at around 1-1.2 mil. 18 points in 72 career games. 6 points in 19 games with the Rangers last year.

I doubt that ADA signs his QO. 30 points in 61 games last year as a dman. He doesn't have the track record to get a significant raise, but I imagine they'll offer him more than his QO would pay him. If he doesn't like the numbers on the multi-year deals and they don't offer him a 1 year deal at higher than his QO, he may just opt to sign the QO and see if he can cash in next summer.

God, I'm going through some shitty players trying to think of who that is and they all have waaaay more playoff goals than Bozo :help:

Forgot about that lol

Literally was talking to one of my managers about that postseason tonight (buffalo chick) that **** still burns me to this day.

She then went on to tell me that she babysat for Marty Biron and after wins he would come home with his wife 'and a few other girls' ... aaaand I'm just gonna leave that right here

no one in chicago is crying over it with their 3 cups but stan bowman trade away or lost every 1st round pick from 2010-2017

2010: Kevin hayes lost as ufa
2011: Mark McNeil (traded for oduya) & Philip Danault (traded for troy bouwer)
2012: Teravainen (given to carolina to get rid of bickell)
2013: Ryan Hartman (traded)
2014; Nick Schmaltz (traded for dylan strome)
2015: pick traded for vermette
2016: pick traded for andrew ladd
2017: Jokiharju (traded for alex nylander)

some of those trades are good ones cause they played a big part in winning the cup so you can't regret them...obviously the killer is losing teravainen to unload a salary. but man to thats still crazy. i thought we traded away alot of 1st

It was an all female mariachi band to serenade his wife. That's his story and he's sticking to it.
