Perry’s statement cites alcohol no hanky panky

Unless he refused to enter the player assistance program I'd bet that the contract termination is probably going to end up being a cap penalty against the Blackhawks if Perry's statement is the whole truth.

It's hard to judge without knowing what was going on behinds the scene. Hope he gets the help he needs.

Quarter of the way in and pld on pace for 20 goals and 44 points. He better be buying the whole team dinner every night because if they weren't winning he would be getting absolutely roasted there.
He should be thankful he didn't sign with the Habs. He'd be getting ripped a new one by the Montreal media and fans everyday with those kinds of results at that caphit.

Finished with 6 goals on 20 shots, for a save % of .700

Lost 6-4 despite outshooting the Blues 46-20

If only there was a #1 Vezina caliber goalie available on the trade market this summer. :sarcasm:

This is what separates Vegas from teams like Sabres etc. If Vegas had crap goaltending and a guy like Helle became available, they would move heaven and earth to acquire him.

Hes a LHD that has played right side before - he scores goals sometimes and actually hits... Zadorov/Samberg would be a massive upgrade over Schmidt.
So, what are you going to do with Schmidt and his 5.95m AAV?
It'd be an upgrade but massive?

You think the Devils need goaltending 5 goals on 17 shots against the Sharks seems to say yes.
Sabres as well.
Six goals against in just 20 shots.
The Canes let in 5 out of 16 last night.

Neither teams' fanbases wanted to shell out much for Helle and wouldn't have extended him to the contract Chevy did.
