I heard that he wants to waive his no trade to come to winnipeg, he really enjoys the city of winnipeg
He enjoyed that short walk down Portage to the arena with his hot Timmy's. It was only 20 below zero. Invigorating. He could put the Jets over the hump and he's not expensive.

I'm trying to come up with a good reason for this rule

I suspect it's to stop people from playing too fast and loose with the free point, i.e. trying to cover up from some of the obvious flaws of the 2-0 / 2-1 system. Change it to 3-0 / 2-1 and there's no need for such a rule.

Looks like the Flames are slowly going under

5-1, 7-2 in their last two? That's not a slow descent, that's a rocket to the ocean floor.

Pulling the goalie really makes the team play harder. Almost an automatic momentum shift.

I wish it was pulling the goalie was employed more often. Perhaps last 20 seconds end of period when your on a powerplay? Go for an all all last 5 second full press assault on the net.

The big thing I've noticed is that people generally drastically overestimate how likely it is to backfire. League average you're only "laying" 2-1 odds (about twice as many EN GA as goalie-pulled GF) and that's when most of it is 6-on-5; as the overall man-power dwindles that edge increases -- a good way to remember that is that 1-on-0 would of course be the ultimate power play.

I'll keep on telling the world -- the time will come when we realize that Patrick Roy was miles ahead of the game in this regard. The only part in sport that currently gets misplayed worse IMO is 4th down gambles in the NFL.

How long did they have possession before pulling? That's something I've thought about, if you have the opposition caught on a long shift pull the goalie and keep them tired. If they shoot it down and miss they're stuck out because of the icing.

Don't know precisely, but at least half a minute. Kaprizov was skating around with the puck for a while.

Like I said earlier I had never seen that play in OT before and never knew you would lose the point if you lost. It's true you learn something new everyday.
I love this move, you can create a 4-on-3 power play where the opponent likely has three players on the ice that don't kill penalties, so won't be entirely familiar/comfortable in the proper lanes to disrupt plays. Imagine seeing Scheif and Connor on the ice tired, i'm totally doing this, they won't know what to do.

None of those teams worry me.
It's the Jets that worry me.
Even if we stay healthy, and play the very best version of our game it will still be long odds to survive a gauntlet of something like the Avs, Stars, Canucks, Canes/Rangers/Bruins/Panthers to win the cup. So yeah I worry about other teams.
