He's from St. Vital ....................

His cousin is from Steinbach and owns and overhead door company. Very nice guy who use to buy Jets tickers from me especially when Chicago came to town.

I heard a buddy talking about how Italy is encouraging people to relocate to their country by providing very affordable housing in smaller villages that have had depopulation challenges. Now we didn't get into details but he and his partner are going to travel there to check out the opportunities.
This is super common in Europe (and Japan for that matter). Lots of towns dying out as people move to large centers.

I have lineage citizen rights in the UK and Italy - I've seriously considered moving to Italy when I retire and get one of those homes for 1 EURO :)

Seriously though, those houses need major work - but you can get a very nice home in one of these smaller villages for very little money (like 20k EUR) - and there are plenty of regions to choose from.

I just don't know if I can learn Italian

I am a bit dumb when it comes to all this salary cap stuff ... honestly just can't be bothered to learn all the ins-and-outs of it ... but according to capfriendly they have 23/23 roster signed, and are currently over $12 million over the cap. Jake Muzzin will be LTIR for some relief, but even with that and assuming they find a way for Matt Murray to "fail his medical" and LTIR him they'd still be almost $2 million over. I don't understand what they're doing and why they haven't done a trade ... seems to me they'll be forced at some point to pay someone to take a contract from them?

Amazing career. Imagine drafting a player like Bergy in the 2nd round. That changed the bruins fortunes for two decades. He reminds me a bit of Joe Sakic as in hard guys to hate even when they play against your team and kick your ass.

Mark Stuart drafted in the 1st round before Bergy by Boston that year .

Yeah well when did Mr HoF Patrice Bergeron stand up a dude at the blueline and TOTALLY BLOW HIM UP!!!

Sure, by passing up Stu BOS got perhaps one of the greatest 2-way centres ever to play the game -- but was he gonna lay a guy out like the General did?

Jeez youse guys. Can't see the forest for the Stu.

Boston can't trade a Vezina winner so Swayman probably goes

Trade for both Scheif and Lindholm... they can afford it
Grezlyk, Frederick for Lindholm
Swayman, Geekie for Scheif
